Wow! God is so wonderful how He takes care of His children. He took care of all of you all through your journey and He directed you to North Carolina to be your home State. And God also has a sense of humor as you mentioned "If we got back to Ashville and it's the place to be, then maybe the car will break down." And God gave that which you had spoken as a "sign", a confirmation, that this is the place for you to settle down and establish your homestead. Welcome Home Hollar Homestead! We watched your live documentary "Finding Home", while out of town for New Years on my husbands tablet (He doesn't have a KZbin account on the tablet) so I was unable to be on the live chat. But we were there just the same. Oh my! We could see all the hard work you put into it! You did a Great job!!!! What a wonderful documentary and legacy to hand down to your children and grandchildren some day. We had fun trying to guess which State you had chosen, I kept going back and fourth with Michigan and North Carolina. But my husband kept saying North Carolina. Im most excited about watching your Homestead take shape and yall make it home. My Appalachian tip is to look for property with black locust trees, they are good fence posts, they are rot resistant, they burn HOT to. In spring they also have edible blooms lol!

It is funny, I have a 2000 F-350 and that is the same truck you guys have. I just rebuilt the whole front end so I feel you pain. I have had this truck for 18 years, have 265,000 miles on it, and it will be my Homestead Beast. The next replacement parts are the power steering pump and drive box. I know the lines you are taking about. I am glad you where able to get the parts and will be on the road again. Meg last night’s video was fantastic. I still am amazed on how you put it together. 1600 people taking the time to see your family’s journey to the place where you will call home. I see many of gatherings at your new place, with 1000 of people you and your kids will call friends or family for years to come. May God bless your family and the place you will can home. - Jeff

I am 56 and cried through almost the entire video. My first son was born in 1982. My second son was born in 1984, then two more sons in 1989 and 1991. Watching your videos, your journey to find a value system that aligns with your hearts ( which, if I know anything, it is your children and the love you both feel for each other ) was like a time machine taking me back to the days when my children were that young and what I would have done if I had a chance to do it all over again. I don't, though, and have to suffer the loss of my first and second born sons to the powerful elitists..... who create suffering and heartache for even their own kind. Your sons will know a better, more loving and decent way of life because of parents who have more love in their hearts for what is most valuable than love for material gain. This movement to get out of the "System" is the greatest threat to the power "elite's" security and I am awed by the tremendous courage your generation inspires in others to do likewise. My greatest wish and fervent hope is that future generations will not suffer unworthy lives for the sake of fiat currency or social status. The trials and tribulations that you both suffer to see this journey through only builds character and strength that a bank account or corporate position never could. Keep moving forward no matter what! You may not be aware of this truth but there are Angels on High supporting your journey. They have the final say about who inherits this beautiful Blue Planet. :-) God Bless and keep you all the days of your lives...

You picked a wonderful state. When my daughter was little we would camp all round up there. Asheville and Bryson city were our favorites. There is so many things to do there. If I could move to a state it would be there. Florida is my home, one day I will move.

I watched the replay of the premier. You did a great job on it. My mom's birthday was on Monday Dec 17. 2 of my goats kidded on her birthday. My birthday is on Christmas. The final goat due to kid, kidded Christmas morning. So I had a busy, but great birthday too. Glad the men got to celebrate together.

Wonderful premiere! I was so rooting for North Carolina! I am in coastal south Texas and one day I hope to move my family to there. The only hard part is the thought of leaving my love behind who has been gone now for three years. He passed of a heart attack in front of our home with no warning before hand and he was only 46! We had talked about moving to a property and homesteading but we’re just in the planning phase. I want to tell you both that the decision to leave the 9-5 and go somewhere new was so brave. Stay strong and remember to always say ‘I love you’ because anything can happen, I know that now! You will both be okay as long as God and love are right there in the mix!
