Being an African living in Germany, the first thing people noticed about me when I smiled were my perfectly formed white teeth. I grew up without sweets and we're were never at the dentist. I never had tooth problems, not even carries. Last year I visited the dentist for a check up and he told me one front tooth was weak. He ended up pulling four of my front teeth out. After that he told me it would cost me 12 thousand euro to get it fixed. I cried my eyes out because I didn't have that amount. Later I heard that dentists prey in innocent people to make money out of them. Now I'm wearing prothesis and it's been a year now. My kids were scared at beginning when I would remove it but now they are used to it. I don't even care anymore. There is more in life than teeth 😁😁

I am revolted about your loss, way more than 50% of dentists are thieves. I don't trust the medical association, they create a lot of problem in means to sell you the reparation, poison you to sell you the antidote. All these toothpaste industries are hands in hands with their corrupted society and industries. Im glad your comfortable but I'm surprised you would allow them to pull your teeth because they were simply (weak) They usually have to be rotten and broken for them to pull them. 💔That's awful I'm sorry that happened to you .That dentist should lose his job ! I needed this. I’m in the process of trying to get my teeth fixed (most likely going to have dentures). I didn’t go to the dentist when I was pregnant and I have braces that helped ruin my teeth, I also was an addict for a whole (3 years clean and sober, now). I’m a complete hermit now and I used to be a MODEL. Complete 180, I just want to go back to being confident and being able to smile without embarrassment. It just costs SO much, I need a miracle lol. These women make me feel better because I know I’m not alone and I will be SO happy when I get my dentures or implants, whichever route I will be so happy.

I prsonally feel like I lost 10yrs of my life. 30-40 because of dental issues. You get treated differently. Jobs won't hire you, ppl think it's drug related and overall its a serious blow to selfesteem and being able to properly provide for yourself and family. I've lost every tooth because I had a baby and had hyperemesis gravidarum( morning sickness that lasted 8months and throwing up constantly) Unfortunately implants are considered "Cosmetic Surgery" when it is not. Dentures don't help ppl eat and chew to get the proper nutrients. And once the tooth is gone your bone recedes causing jaw pain and eventually the dentures won't have anything to hold onto. They are meant for the elderly that won't have use for them after a decade or two. They never fit and cause pain, most ppl can't even eat with the dentures in. Implants are the only realistic long term fix to this issue that so many young ppl are facing no matter the reason that they end up needing them. Infections and pain are things we deal with constantly.

I got full dentures at 23 due to genetics and a opiate use. I was addicted to opiates for nearly 8 years and while addicted I stopped taking care of my already horrible teeth. But now I'm 31 , I've been sober for almost 8 years, I have a beautiful smile and I'm still on the road to accepting myself and being confident in who I am. I've been single the last 3 years and it's crazy cuz 90% of the women (yes I'm a lesbian) I've talked to don't have an issue with me having dentures at all. It's still scary to bring up, but I'm working on that! Thank you for doing this video! This is a really important subject to touch on, especially the part about sobriety. It's hard and the hate that people can give doesn't help.

I had to get a tooth removed cause it was weak. It’s been nothing but an issue since they put the implant. Finally got it removed and no longer get headaches, but the two beside it are now loose. I have to take out my temporary fake tooth when I eat so I’ve just stopped eating in public and don’t want to date till I get the implant back. It could be a year 😫😫😫 I’m impressed by her ability to own it.

I had 14 teeth of my top row pulled due to impact to the face from DV. I've always had great teeth. It was heartbreaking for me. I've found myself isolating more now. I've married my best friend that loves me no matter what. I haven't gone to a restaurant in over a year because eating is different for me now. I can eat better without them and I don't take them out in front of people. I'm 50 now and life has changed so much. People do judge.. they think I used drugs or didn't take care of my teeth.. and I don't feel comfortable talking about the DV. Only people I'm close to know I wear dentures.. I wish people wouldn't judge...just ask

Have yall heard of molar city its a town just over the border from yuma Arizona and they have 350 dental offices thR are 70% cheaper than usa free hotel and shuttle from airport an implant is 700$ teeth pull 30 teeth clean 35 cavity 60 so anyone can get there teeth fixed god bless everyone!!

This is good timing. Had been very very down about my teeth. Even as a child my nightmare usually involves my teeth cracking. Because of depression I hadn't been caring of my teeth and now I fear going to the dentist even though it looks like an issue is starting. I always notice people's teeth. And now there have been so many people with veneers or implants. It made me want to get either, but lack of funds have prevented me. Now seen people explain how they are done and its dangers.

I never had a problem going to the dentist til I went longer and longer without going. It took me 22 or 23 years to finally get the courage to go (only because of two or three abscesses,) due to depression and anxiety. After all those years, I ended up having to get "only" 4 pulled (then one more a year later.) I asked for dentures, partly because I have small teeth and wanted to have a "normal" smile. He said I didn't need them.. The ones I've had taken out were molars so the spaces aren't readily noticeable and don't affect my smile but I've always wanted bigger or better looking teeth, or at least the front ones. I don't even have money to replace the ones I had taken out, let alone for cosmetic purposes.

People lose their teeth for many reasons. It happens. Most Models, Celebrities, and anyone in front of camera usually do have fake teeth. It's being 25 years old that may be a problem. Most Models start as teens. God Bless you! There is so much more in life to focus on...#keepsmiling

Faith- I know the struggle with the addiction part! I naturally have thin tooth enamel, but I’m pretty sure drugs was the #1 reason for my teeth breaking so easily (and I love sticky candy!). I have a partial now. I honestly thought about getting dentures, but my dentist kinda talked me out of it. I kinda feel like I should though. It’s the thought of my jaw shrinking that scares me.

True, but they shouldn't have to feel like they have to hide the fact that they have dentures/implants if they don't want to. Most of the time they reveal the dentures/implants as a form of self-acceptance and normalizing it...which as was mentioned in the video, also helps other people dealing with dental insecurities. So sure, they could keep it a secret if they really wanted to...but there's no harm in showing it to people...(especially for the people that enjoyed the shocked reactions of strangers). It's their mouth after all, they can do what they want.

I am a Zookeeper in Chicago and I regularly feed the Hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home.
