Thanks for the comments. Two of my friends from the Marines worked for the Prison System. I know it can be a soul numbing experience. No, I had a different type of "captive audience" after the military, I was a Pastor for a number of years. You all have certainly made the right choice: life is so short, enjoy it while you can which you are doing. I look forward to following your journey.

Your experiences in the military must have given you a lot to share with your flock. God bless and thank you for watching.

Hello Hal and Alicia, I am so glad that my cousin Bev turned me on to your videos. There is a lot of great information for people who want to or plan to sail or cruise. Hal, I have thinking about Starlink for our power boat, but what I see for Marine use is way too expensive. What plan are you using? Keep up with the great videos and may you have good wind and calm seas ahead of you.

Hello cousin Aaron!!! Welcome! We have the RV version of Starlink. Very cost effective and it’s plug and play. We have found it worth every penny. We have seen them on lots of boats.

Interesting hearing your story, I am a retired Paramedic and I am 4 years into retirement and I think I will get past that 5 year mark as our profession is the same. I have know colleagues who have died before their retirement parties. Public service comes with a high price. Thanks for your service.

The song is called Dreamers of the Shore and it is by Cody Francis. We found it on Epidemic Sound.

What kind of watches do you stand? 6 hr.? 4 hr.?
@sailingtashi

We started with two on two off then switched to three in three off. But we start watches when one of us gets really tired (usually Alicia) 🤣🤣

@@sailingtashi OOOHHH!! 2x2 is brutal!!! Yeah it gets hard when you don’t feel like going to sleep off watch, then 1/2 way though your watch you wish you did! I remember being on Anchor watch in Drakes Bay and I didn’t dare sit down because I knew I was gonna fall asleep. I would keep standing, fall asleep standing up and when I would start to fall from being asleep it would wake me up. That was a 4 hr. Watch that started at 10:00 if I remember correctly.
