Love it. I can't wait to see it wound up properly!

Brave man cutting that hole 🫣. Any possible way to change the exhaust position?

Yea I am planning on joining the new turbo up to the full exhaust system, I just didn't have time to do it before the car show

You might find it useful to run the VNT actuator using exhaust manifold pressure rather than boost pressure, and adjust the boost controller to make the boost pressure you're after, it will operate much more smoothly that way. I would suggest doing that with the large turbo wastegate fully open and then once you've got your baseline for the small turbo let your big turbo feed into it. Just be aware that if the VNT and exhaust wheel of the small turbo are too small, it will prevent the big turbo from spooling up (exhaust gas using all it's energy to force it's way out past a small exhaust side will leave no energy left to spool the big turbo) You've done a nice job of it though so far, keep up the good work 👍

Hmmm, very interesting 👍 how do i go about using exhaust pressure to operate the actuator? Will the hot gases not damage the diaphragm in the actuator? Thank you for your comment 👍

@@samwel69 if you've got a plate over the EGR port then you can drill and weld a brake pipe fitting, then use a good length of coiled up copper brake pipe with a standard silicone or rubber tube running to the actuator from the end. The DPF pressure sensors are set up in a similar way, so the hot exhaust gas pressurises the air in the tube but it doesn't actually flow through the tube and heat anything up. DPF Differential pressure sensors are made of plastic and never see them melt. Turbo will respond far better that way as if the VNT is closed the turbo will spool a bit and then choke up before your selected boost pressure is achieved, running from exhaust manifold pressure will make it more of a linear transition through the boost curve. You will need to set the boost pressure using a restriction valve in the system rather than a bleed valve, or adjusting with actuator spring pressure and rod length if you prefer that. A bleed system won't really work as you'll end up letting hot exhaust gas through the system

@diesel-technology5507 I like the sound of that😁 makes alot of sense, I will give it s go 👍thanks for the advice
