@stabbo1732 жыл бұрын
They've commented on this before, it's basically just man hours that are being paid for. More people working for longer costs more money
@VMYeahVN2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's man hours basically. Every VFX shot in a big budget movie has multiple versions/iterations that are done to it before it's finalized. A VFX company like Digital Domain or Weta charges a movie studio like Marvel per shot. And factored into that cost are the salaries of the employees (and the weeks/months worth of time they spend making the shots) as well as use of the VFX companies gear (computers, render farms, etc). A shot like the million dollar shot in Titanic had a ton of VFX "firsts" or things they had to basically develop/invent new softwares to be able to do. So the costs of these shots also comes in the form of R&D basically.
@ПавелПовх-з3у2 жыл бұрын

He's got some great stories including fibreglass burns from the armour, constantly dropping their Stirling Submachine guns because the early type of gloves they wore gave no grip, tripping over because he couldn't see anything, dehydration etc. There were also only about 12 of them.... which I refused to belive even in my 50s it is such an insult to my 8 year old self who saw the film 12 times in cinemas in 1978! Anyway, they were always exhausted because they spent a lot of time running circles past a camera to make it look like there were hundreds of them. He also said that the actors playing the gay robots had a filthy sense of humour Kenny Baker, who was inside R2D2 had a miserable time and one day had such a bad hangover he nearly vommed inside the costume, Hammill was quite shy, Ford very friendly and they were all in unspoken awe of Alec Guinness who, of course was the only star. And who was happy to spend time sharing lunch with the cast and crew and who was essentially doing the role in the tradition that one didn't turn down roles and it gave him the funds to do some rep. Guinness was apparently a very nice gentleman of his generation, a bit stand offish, very polite, encouraging to the young actors and hadca devilish twinkle in his eye.

This is so awesome. The only "flaw", since I'm nitpicky, the visor on Luke's helmet, during the shots on the trench run, is too big. The visor ends at the inside of the helmet. The visor on your scenes goes beyond the inside, which if you compare to Sam's and Niko's shots, makes it look off scale.

In the original movie when Luke and Han went to save Leia, Grand Moff Tarkin told the stormtroopers to let them go because Leia will lead the empire to the rebel base. But everytime after that is their own fault.
@enskje2 жыл бұрын
The amount of steps for that plan to succeed is so insane. Tarkin must've been leagues ahead of Thrawn. 1. Board the ship, but allow escape-pods to launch. 2. Send a squad to follow the pod and herd the droids to Jawas that sell them to Luke. 3. Kill Luke's family, but not him, so he can escape with the droids. 4. Allow the falcon to escape from Mos Eisley, but shoot at the group while doing so. 5. Send Star Destroyers to pursue, but not capture the Falcon. 6. Allow the group to infiltrate the Death Star, rescue Leia and escape without them getting hit (but still shot at). 7. Send Tie fighters to shoot at but not damage the Falcon. 8. Follow the tracked Falcon. 9. Profit?

Completely wrong, I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't understand the emotional connection there. If you want to complain about a film complain about The Last Jedi, Rise is only the way it is because JJ basically had to try and ignore all of TLJ! Rian Johnson ruined the sequel trilogy pure and simple.
@iantaakalla81802 жыл бұрын
Basically, no matter what the trilogy was a disaster highlighted by how directed what. J.J. abrams should have never touched Star Wars at all but given that he developed Star Wars VII in a milquetoast way, Rian Johnson should not have been the person to make Star Wars VIII. He was far too ambitious for a then-milquetoast main movie franchise. If anything Rian Johnson should have been the beginning director. Or anyone except Abrams.
