I like your videos. I finally came across this one and I would suggest that you use pantyhose instead of coffee filters. It will strain a lot faster and you still will catch all the Unwanted materials and you won’t lose any of your ingredients that you would lose in your coffee filters just a suggestion. I used white pantyhose so I can see the unwanted materials. I hope this is helpful to you and your subscribers.

My question is the coffee filters I've noticed some people have those brown natural ones I just use the white ones that we use in our coffee maker but I've noticed when I strain my tincture for the sugar there's a light film on top is it because of the filters that I'm using

No, the brown ones are just unbleached. The film is all the stuff that was too large to fit through the filter

This was the second time I have made a simple syrup recipe for my wife. I used the same ingredients, but it does not seem to be very effective. I made 1.5 cups of simple syrup, which equates to 72 teaspoons. Using a distillate (804mg), it should produce 11g/teaspoon. Even after 2hrs didnt she didnt feel anything. Last time to Vegas she purchased "Sips" and those she felt. Now when I made this, there seemed to be film that stuck to the side of the pan. Wondering if this is where most of the THC ended up, and there seems to be something stuck to the inside of the glass bottle that I put it in. Any tips or thoughts of what might of gone wrong? Can you use the tincture you made from the alcohol in drinks such as lemonades teas etc or should that be used in alcoholic drinks mainly? Basically, should you convert it to a simple syrup for non alcoholic drinks or does it even matter?

It doesn't matter. You can use the regular tincture as is. Just remember to strain multiple times or you'll end up with weird floaties in your beverage. Nothing harmful, just aesthetically unpleasing

I’m trying to make cannabis syrup myself. It’s hard to find the 1000mg smooth syrup make by the Klear. Can I do the exact same thing with distillate? If I have pure distillate how can I turn it into a syrup ?

You’ll get your best bang for your buck just eating the distillate on the side of whatever you want to put it in. The distillate will always end up seperating from your syrup after sitting, an extract from flower is the best for drinks or syrup. You can make strong alcohol based tinctures with distillate easily though, literally just mix it with a small amount of a high proof liquor.

One thing you can do when using distillate..is once you have dissolved you sugar into water..add a tablespoon of vegetable glycerin and then your distillate..the vg will act as a binding agent for the concentrate so it won’t separate.

The THC binds to the sugar crystal making "cannasugar". It isn't the most bio-available option of consumption but I like it

Sidney Hockaday Just coat your pan & all utensils with a very light coating of oil (Coconut or other light vegetable oil) before you start. Then constantly scrape the sticky THC residue from the sides into the syrup. Otherwise, you lose a lot of your THC to the pan,

im gonna say probably not the melting point of splenda is different i believe splenda is technically a salt at which case its melting point is higher than a stove would reach but i could be very wrong so take what im saying eitha grain of salt

I don't believe any one way is ever the "only option". Cold extraction really mutes the harshness of the tincture. As far as how much to use, it depends entirely on your starting material. You have to try a few drops at a time until you feel it's a good spot.

Your best way to figure out Mg is to get a Tcheck it helps with testing the potency of your infusions
