Lamugine or ZomKom is a popular local drink native to the northern part of Ghana. It is made from Millet and other other spices. It is one of the most healthy drinks made here in Ghana. This is same way we prepare millet pap in Nigeria but no sugar added unless after making the pap with hot water. If you add hot water into that millet,it will be thick and turn to pap . I never knew that you can drink it raw 😀😀Eweeeehhh........

Ama you do well paa with all what you show us, but my concerns always is the cleaning around where the lady is preparing the drink is okay but where she went to grind the mellet is my trouble, they have to clean and wash the machine please advise them some times. Thanks.

The only difference with zonkom n koko is that , with the koko u will mix with hot water , but zonkom u will just add your sweetener straight away. Lamugi drink is made up of fermented rice instead of the millet u use rice for lamugi

Good video But from the knowledge I have staying in New town since childhood, Lamugine is not made from millet but rather sour tamarind. However people now make Lamugine with millet rather than sour tamarind
