So I was playing a normal every day HOI4 Multiplayer game that turned out to be hilarious.
After coming up with new weird meta and expecting the worst, the situation completely twisted and it ended up being a really fun HOI4 MP game.
My Italy made them rage quit and more like our Axis made the Allies leave the game.

Funny how UK wanted to build over a hundred dockyard, cause that means they won't have air. As I expected, axis air destroyed Royal Navy in the med.

Especially for this mod that discardpixel uses for his hosted games, you cannot play UK any other way than building air in this mod and building up the navy over time. The UK player threw the game when he didn't match gemany on air. The UK legit just micros air for most of the war and has 40ish divs defending while minor nations do the bulk of the fighting for the first year of the war until UK can get their focuses done to get more manpower. This was a noob game though, so it's not just UK's fault, all the allied majors showed that they didn't know how to play their nations in the vid.

@@brads.260 yes, basically UK has to match Germany on air and not lose its fleet to Italy while convoy escorting/raiding. Not getting sealioned is important, anything else is meaningless. The Allies can still lose the entirety of Africa and Gibraltar and be fine as long as the Royal Air Force is there and the Royal Navy is somewhat serviceable. That's why I hate playing the UK in MP, there is nothing to invent: if you play the perfect game, your friends will have a lot of fun while you micro air everywhere, and if you try anything different everything falls apart and that's your fault.

Dankus. An idea. As a major, try speedi Gonzalez build. Split your attacj forces into two groups. Heavy tanks for hardness (rare but designed for breakthrough) and massed high Stats Trucks or Mechanised to overwhelm and overrun with high mobility. Try pulling off the front line when my assault can outrun you, and sweep through your infantry and cut your tanks off every single time. It requires the microing of two unit types for success, but should be cancer enough when the opponent kills off the rare heavy tanks, which were never your primary assault force, so you can afford to replace all three units you use to bolster the assault armies that smash through and overrun positions.

The point Is that in Single player subs Is king as the ai generally can't really counter It with air, in multiplayer people build tons of air and naval Power( US/UK/ Japan/ Italy) build naval bomber that are king. That's why in multiplayer you see tons of AA in ship cause otherwise you get Blown out by nav bomber, if you see the Moment dankus engaged he had 2/300 nav bomber while the enemy had 0 Plane and you generally dont put AA on a destroyer that Is produced in Mass Number as a glass cannon and you dont care about losing some of the if you support them with Land based air

In vanilla cruisers subs and destroyers in nearly equal parts is really the meta, destroyers for anti sub, cruisers for AA and to kill destroyers, and subs to take out enemy flagships. Depending on what the enemy is primarily producing you'll want to adjust the quantities to counter, and don't death stack and auto split, the ai sucks at balancing taskforces and doesn't put different types together, you'll have to make the taskforces yourself, I'd recommend Optionally 1 Carrier 2 battleships Required 10 cruisers 25 destroyers 25-50 subs For ai, adjust as needed for MP Edit: not played much MP myself, but I love playing the naval game in any match/playthrough
