You can eat the whole thing, stems too. Also you can drink the boiling water like a tea. It's very healthy. I steam my stinging nettles. I love it. I think it tastes like butter and it melts in your mouth.... Yum!

If you cut off just 1/3 of the nettle with scissors, they will regrow. In some areas butterflies and moths lay eggs on nettles, avoid the nettles that have tiny eggs on them so you don’t disrupt them.
