It’s refreshing to see people with the same parenting approach as we have. We respect our kids and include them and listen to them about major decisions. We don’t do as our parents did and simply say “we are the adults”. In reality if your decisions affect them, they should be able to have an opinion about it as well. Kids deserve respect too. Thank you for respecting your kids and valuing their opinion.

Honestly I find it refreshing to have someone whose tried van life (again I know you did it already) speak up and talk about the kids and how they feel. Too many families make it the center of their content and I can see it takes a toll on some of the kids and brings negativity . I can’t imagine living in such a small space with 5 people and 2 animals. I’m sure your kids are probably missing school friends and activities too. It’s not like you can’t still travel once and awhile. Certainly don’t want to get burnt out on one of your favorite activities. Coming from someone that always traveled every summer with my grandparents growing up. It's fun, you love it, you make great memories but after a while it's nice to come home and just relax in your own bedroom. Traveling or not we still wanna watch you. We lived in Nampa,ID from 2009 - 2014. Was absolutely the best! Boys all raced BMX and we traveled the western states with their team. They had such a great childhood. We loved our friends and community. It’s way more expensive now, but it’s a great state.

Idaho is amazing! My brother moved there 2 years ago, my aunt and uncle moved there 3 years ago and a cousin moved there 5 years ago. They are all so so happy there. They are spread out across Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian. We visited and I didn’t want to leave!!

I lived in Star, ID for two years and absolutely loved it there. It is not too far from Boise. I think it is great that you want to move onto a home again, not all people would listen to their children on something so important as a home! You will still be able to go RV-ing in Idaho and other places!
