Hey, guys! Today we are showing you Part 2 of our visit to Kyoto. Did you know that Kyoto means Capital? That's right, this beautiful city used to be the capital of Japan for over 1000 years before the country's seat was moved to Tokyo. This is why Kyoto is one of the most popular tourist places in the country.
This time around, we stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Kyoto. Our suite was spacious, with two comfortable rooms and a traditional bath that offered a stunning view. It had everything we needed to feel right at home in Kyoto. Check them out here
👉growingupwitho...
After settling in, it was already lunchtime, so we set off on a short walk to find some food. Along the way, we did some exploring and quickly realized how much we loved Kyoto. It's smaller than Tokyo and has a feel that's more similar to Osaka, which made us feel right at home.
That evening, we had an incredible opportunity to watch a Maiko (a Geisha in training from Kyoto) ceremony organized by the Hyatt. Geishas are Japanese performing artists trained in traditional arts like dance, music, and singing. They're also fantastic conversationalists and hosts, making the ceremony an unforgettable experience.
The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast before taking our first-ever taxi ride in Japan to a mesmerizing tea ceremony. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We learned so much about the traditional tea ceremony in Japan and were surprised to find out that having Matcha at home isn't common here. 👉teaceremony-ky...
Our adventure continued with a visit to Ginkaku-ji, the Silver Zen Temple, followed by a peaceful stroll along the Philosopher’s Walk, a picturesque path along the riverbank and through the residential area.
In the evening, we did a bit of shopping at an open market and treated ourselves to some amazing Italian food for dinner.
After a short nature walk, we returned to the Hyatt Regency for our last night and morning in Japan, reflecting on the wonderful experiences we had in Kyoto.
Stay tuned for our next video from Kathmandu🇳🇵!!! Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to follow our adventures! Have you ever been to Kyoto or experienced a tea ceremony? Let us know in the comments below! 🌍✨

If the Internet connection is unstable, the connection may be interrupted during class. When you take classes at home, you may feel less motivated with your friends. In online classes, experiments and hands -on learning can be difficult. Online classes are limited to interaction with friends because they go to home. The sarcastic and disgusting of the mother, and the oddness of it can have a negative effect on the children. I hope that children can grow in a good learning environment. 😓🤔😅

Cute fam! Interesting place with a distinct culture. My cousin (Irish) lived in Hiroshima for about 18 years and recently moved home when he's parents had passed and his brother probably needed companionship. He would come home every year for Xmas. Japan has nearly 7,000 islands, 280 of which are populated.

Geisha apprentice is called Maiko. Also, in Kyoto, geisha are called geiko, not geisha, and outside of Kyoto, they are called geisha. The period of maiko is about 5 years from the age of 16, as they start apprenticeships immediately right after graduating from junior high school. You can tell the difference between geisha and maiko by their kimonos. If the sleeves are long and the obi is hanging down, it is maiko. And hair style is different, too. Rounder hair style is for maiko.

Hey Sandra! The ice cream so delicious and it hit the spot. We do get tired was strange is sometimes just sitting while traveling makes you tired too. Or, maybe it just catches up with you and once you stop it hits you.

@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders, veganism is NOT a diet. There is NO SUCH thing as a "vegan diet", because veganism is purely a moral stance against the undue use and abuse of animals in any way, such as parading them in a circus or zoological park, stealing their milk or eggs, and of course, needlessly slaughtering them and feeding on their bloody carcasses. Therefore, if you equate veganism with a DIET, then you have absolutely no idea of what you speak!

The complimentary rooms and meals provided to mothers and daughters at partner hotels are only described in boring, casual terms and do not appear to be enthusiastically praised. There is no proper explanation about the historical background or culture of ``Maiko'' or ``Tea Ceremony,'' and all that can be said is that ``The shameful appearance of an irreverent mother and her three daughters is shown up close.'' It is.🤭
