About the Mister Donut thing, the founder was actually Dunkin' Donuts' founder's brother-in-law. Edit: I did a little bit of digging and found out that 1. Philippines and Indonesia also have them. 2. They opened the first Dunkin' Donuts in Taiwan in 2007. By 2013, people were complaining that they were catering towards "more Asian tastes", and that they were essentially just copying what Mister Donut did. In 2016, they shut down the remaining 19 stores due to low sales and a termination of franchise agreement with Mercuries and Associates. They did say that they want to find another franchisee in Taiwan, but there has been no news since then.
