Barbados was one of (if not) the first countries to end their union with the Enghlish Monarchy and become their own independent republic. Rihanna was very instrumental in the final stages of that transition. She was at the handover with the President for that ceremony. She's also very proud of her Igbo/Nigeria heritage. She brags about it, she said her mama told her about her African roots and she's very much connected. Very proud of her authenticity ❤
