WE MOVED! 1,100 Mile Road Trip To Our New Shop! We Had Some Problems.. (Meet The New Garage)

The time has finally come! If you've been wondering why we have been relatively silent for the last month this is why. Preparations, packing, and logistics to sort out. We finally made it to our new home with our own four walls! My mom flew down to help us pack and drive the Penske truck with all the shop stuff packed in it. Logan hauled the Monte Carlo for 1100 miles and she's never towed a car before! I fire up the Newell Coach and get its first road trip in since last November. What could go wrong? Lots of things lol. We are so pumped to get set up and get back to regular scheduled programming!!

@@nomercyinc6783 To a lot of people driving that kind of distance is really intimidating. To step up and do that while towing a trailer for the first time is a big commitment. And then getting hit in the trailer in the first mile would shake a lot of people's confidence. Then driving hundreds of miles with the trailer way out of alignment, I'm sure it pulled a little. And then the flat tire. And driving with three wheels on the trailer, etc. And then find her a new trailer, she's sitting in the Monte Carlo pushing hard on the brakes for who knows how long without complaining. Turn around and she's right in there strapping the car down instead of waiting for Mitchell to do it. All of that is a testament to her character, her commitment, her confidence. She may be small, but she is not weak (of mind or near as I can tell, physical strength either). She's a winner. Don't demean that, it makes you look bad.

A young lady that gives up her weekdays and weekends to work on your cars and spends her summer vacations in grueling heat and working through racecar breakdowns is definitely a woman that will have your back for the rest of your life. When brakes overheat like that, if you have no upcoming downhill sections, it's better to drive at a mellow pace. The brakes cool way more efficiently while driving. Kinda scary though, faded brakes are no joke!

I did a 2600 mile solo move with a 26' Penske towing my project car on a trailer. The pre-check was laughable lol... they walked around, kicked the tires and handed me the keys. Had a "transmission fluid low" warning for half the drive but made it through just fine. Still mind boggling to me that they just rent em out to anyone!! My first time towing, let alone driving a mini semi truck 😂

Happy for all of you! PS I had the "smoking" brake with my Rolls Royce recently! A caliper overheated because of a brake hose! After letting it cool down (and letting the piston in the caliper to retract), a small shop put some vice grips on the hose to prevent the caliper from sticking again. I drive the car 800 miles to home without any more problems!

My husband and I live full-time in a Class A Winnebago in Alberta, Canada which gets average temps of -20 to -30F in the winter. Needless to say I was interested in how you handled the ice storm. As a Penske employee myself this video was a roller coaster, especially working in a shop not far from I-20 that takes road calls from 24/7 all the time. Sadly yall were on a different section of i20(just one state away) but I was pumped to get when yall were trying to get 24/7 trying to figure out if I would have come our of my shop. Im glad the rental department finally got it figured out for yall. Definitely made the video that much more personal and exciting! I use to work for the sister company/performance install side you could say which was Motiva. Little did i know it'd be you moving there lol! Crazy you're now there!
