This is my opinion. Hope you won't block or delete me as I am just trying to help. I discovered your channel as I have visited Thailand a number of times. KZbin recommended you to me. Now I am involved with the "mother matter" . Face the facts that your mother is in Thailand in order to be close to you. You live with your wife's parents but seem unwilling to bring her into your household. I totally get that having mom around all the time will be challenging for Paige and your marriage. I think Samantha was a good direction. However it is the wrong city. I think you should have mom in your town. This way she will have the in-laws to visit if you are traveling. Have you thought about finding a friend - platonic companion for mom. Hire a Thai profecient in English or look to your audience for someone to join mom from the USA. Mom doesn't seem to be interested in learning Thai. If you put her alone in a house or apartment she will get lonely. You will be her only thing to look forward to. If she had an English speaking maid or companion mom would be less dependant on you. I bet someone in your audience would love to join her there. If not then hire a Thai, Filipina, etc. IMO Mom will not make it alone. Of course I watch every day and want you to succeed. Another idea is to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom place for mom and invite viewers to apply to come and spend 2 weeks with her for a Thai immersive experience. You may find that many moms may want the experience. I had to share my opinion as I have become involved. Thanks.

Hi Chuck so i have a friend much older than i that served in Vietnam as a captain of a airborne ranger troop and now is approaching 80 still is built like a Greek god for his age but i have to keep on him from a far to get him to walk everyday other wise everything just gets very stiff and he loses motivation as you can see three days of little to no walking is a set back so much better to find a place where she can fall into a good routine ( maybe it was with Samantha or maybe not ) i am sure you will find the right place on your adventures... L.A Rob

Thanks for pointing out Crystal Resort in Korat! Back in June I was frantically looking for similar accommodation close to the mall and for the life of me can't figure out why I missed Crystal Resort!? I ended up finding accommodation 1.5km away. Hi, Chuck & Paige, I enjoyed your video, I to noticed Kara limping I think Kara let this be a warning, you have to work your legs every day. I remember the video where you did 11.000 steps which was a lot. Not saying you have to do that but 7,000 is doable. If you don't you will become unsteady on your feet again. You have had your holiday with Samantha back to boot camp. Trying to be motivated in the heat is hard but across from Samantha's, there is a park you could use early in the morning. To avoid the heat. I'm so happy that you got on so well. Now let's see if you like what's up the road. Chuck, you are doing a grand job with your Mom showing her everything and leaving the choices up to Mom. I think it may be the Nomadic life for you Kara and why not. Who says we have to put down roots. Enjoying watching the journey. Take care GOD Bless you and yours. M

You so far have enjoyed only the physical pleasant moments in Thailand. You are in E-san, the region plentiful with good transcendental Buddhist monks, some of them could speak English. You are missing great opportunities in your life by not even consider to learn some wisdoms of the Buddha from them, to get to the true meaning of ultimate happiness.
