Another enjoyable reaction. Apart from “Hi Ren,” and the “Trilogy,” “Money Game Part 3” is, in my opinion, Ren’s best work to date, and the bar he previously set was already incredibly high. It is an amazing and thought-provoking piece of performance art. Ren composed the music for the piano (except for the classical section at the beginning), as well as for the cello and violin parts. He also played the opening segment on the piano. The guy who came up from behind and replaced Ren is Charlie Woof-Byrne, an accomplished classically trained UK pianist who also occasionally plays jazz and pop. This wasn't a total one-take, but two separate one-takes. The video was a one-take up to the wheelchair getting turned around. They had to cut when the camera was pointed at the back of the wheelchair in order to prepare for the rain scene at the end. It could only be done once because Ren only had this one suit and his pants were about to get soaked. Moreover, the lavalier mic needed to be moved from his jacket lapel to his red tie and covered to keep it from getting wet. Some people assume that this was a studio recording, that Ren was lip-syncing, and that the lavalier mic was only used to catch the ambient sounds. Steve Dimakis (@stevedimakis7403) shared the following information gathered from one of Ren’s twitch stream, “There is no lip-syncing…Instead, there are a tonne of mics rigged up on the camera and around the studio…Ren then goes through and mixes the recording from across every mic that recorded the audio.” Robert Marar (@robmarar) explain in more detail, “In Knox's interview with Samuel the co-director and DP, it was confirmed that this is a live performance. Samuel….said that they needed to set up the pianist with inner ears so he could hear Ren throughout the performance…. the further away Ren got from the piano, the harder it was for the pianist to hear him for the cues in the songs to know when the cord shifts took place.” Andrew Lloyd Webber, after viewing Money Game 3, stated that Ren is one of the most unique songwriters and storytellers he has seen in recent times and that he hoped that Ren’s album “Sick Boi” would hit #1. That is quite a compliment coming from this musical genius and legend. At the beginning of Jimmy’s life, “one-year-old and his first words were ’mine, mine, gimme’; two years, old he was walking; three years old, walking quickly; four years old he was running around the pavement of his city. Then, “40 years old, and he cursed the words ‘mine, mine, gimme’; 41, he wasn’t walking; 42, not walking quickly; 43, never running around the pavement of his city.” ROM (@ROMsquad) during their reaction pointed out the irony that Jimmy was focused on chasing wealth and fame only to lose his ability to run as a result. Not sure if everyone noticed, but the violin and viola segment of the piece is playing Ren’s humming vocals from Money Game Part 1.

@@IsaacDDuke I appreciate your kind words. I used to post a lot of information about Ren's music, background, and other information to every reaction I came across. Unfortunately, about six months ago, YT began censoring some of my more in-depth comments. My account would get suspended for a couple of days, disabling my ability to leave comments, and frequently blocking or removing them all together. Since last week, it has gotten to the point that almost all of my Ren comments are removed as soon as I post them. Hence, I have given up trying. It is what it is; no rhyme or reason to YT's censorship.

Well spoken, Stacey. Perspective in life is in many ways difficult for the vast majority of people. Ren has captured the hearts and minds of 1M+ fans. He has offerred us his perspective on life from the point of view of one who has gone through hell and come out the other side better. We live vicariously through Ren's life. We want to succeed despite all the barriars in front of us. Each day I watch many Ren videos and reactions and it consistantly inspires me. I hope some day that you can meet Ren; that would be so cool.

For singing give his duets with Chinchilla a try, Chalk Outline (live) or How to be me (live) or one of his two newest releases Fred Again mashup or Back on 74/Message in a bottle retake. For rap, try Power, Genesis, The Hunger or Losing it. Checking Ren out with his band The Big Push is also a must. Try the busking session of I shot the sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop (red suspenders). An International Award-winning performance , and we can see why! There are so many many gems in the Ren catalogue and everyone of course have their favourites. You mentioned about living finding new artists so for that reason I would suggest " How to Be Me " Live and " Chalk Outlines LIVE " both with Chinchilla and then " Fingers Live for Hunger TV " by Chinchilla, it would be impossible not to be overwhelmed with the beauty and talent of these performances. Ren is/was in The Big Push and if you want a day full of smiles you must do " Bongo Bong " Loving your channel.

Jimmy's first words were "mine, mine, gimme". A one year-old will mimic what they hear. How much did his parents say, "mine, mine, gimme" and planted that idea in his head from the beginning. Such a wonderful piece of art and Ren is amazing. This was a one take in two parts.
@alexbaxter82918 ай бұрын
Philip Larkin wrote a poem called This Be The Verse in 1971, and the opening line is 'they f*ck you up, your mum and dad' and continues with the theme of how your parents can make you a functional human being or turn you into a basket case with all of their neuroses.

Also they only had one chance to do the rain machine so they did what they could up to then, and they changed the position of the lapel mic to be in the tie knot so he could take off the jacket more easily than he did with the poncho in MG1.

So Violet’s Tale was the first song I heard from Ren, and I didn’t even know it was a trilogy for months I think. They were released a long time apart. Like it entirely works and is emotionally impactful without the context, which I think sometimes is lacking in these multi-part songs. I loved the genre meshing in it! Yeah I didn’t understand the final line, thought it might’ve been himself or band mates or something. Something I learned more recently was that the first line of Violet hints it’s a prequel, but only for longer time fans: “London city, far from pretty, 2005.” Jenny’s Tale came out in 2019 and the Screech was 14, so going back to 2005 would be his birth!
