Should I learn by Japanese words, or by Japanese sentences?

I've seen people have this question a lot, I learn by words but I wouldn't really neglect learning by sentences. The way I do it is that I have a word in the front (on the anki card) and the sentence using the word on the back. So maybe using both could be better, but there are not any specific studies on that so I would do whatever you feel comfortable with.

I been learning hiragana for the past 2 weeks and only know 9 of thr alphabets isnt that kind of slow

If you're struggling with starting, whatever progress it's trully useful, I took like 1 month to learn every hiragana and katakana LOL. However, If you want me to objectively answer you, yes, it is slow taking in count that some people learn hiragana in 3 days to 1 week, but whatever, as long as you don't quit.

@@M5KGC There's nothing special to learning them, you can grab whatever book online. Here's one www.tofugu.com/japanese/learn-hiragana-book-pdf/
