A prequel would be great. Yes and Andre Linoge being a child taken and taught by his master. I love this movie. Thanks for letting me watch it again.

Mr. Reschke makes some interesting points but the actual story or history of Linoge is less compelling than the way the movie was shot. To me what stands out about Storm are: 1. the music, Gary Changs' music is important in setting up the loneliness and inevitability of the situation, the music is able to bring out the yearning sense of loss. 2. The narration by Tim Daly carries his sense of vulnerability which is present throughout the film. 3.Lack of computer generated effects gives the film its' sense of small town life. 4. Characters are all small time people, nothing special about them, a hardy breed used to enduring pain. 5. Steven Kings' writing. I may be one of the few who think movies made about Mr. Kings' writings are better than his books. 6. Direction, long tracking shots give the sense of isolation which will prove fatal. Finally I think the sense of mystery about beginnings and endings is what is haunting about the story, do we need to know the answer to everything? I would be very skeptical about a sequel, something about capturing lightning in a bottle. I'd go for it if: Michael Anderson is played by Daniel Day Lewis, Gary Chang does the music, Linoge played by Colm, maybe. Thanks It's funny, I just finished Storm a few days ago, it is one of the few films I can watch for hours on end.

I actually agree with you here. And I am also one of the number who will always prefer the cinematic adaptations of King's writings to the originals. However, Storm Of The Century was not an adaptation. He wrote the screenplay. This was written as a film by King. It's one of the very few times I have truly loved his writing; I just can't get along with the way he writes. I know people call Dean Koontz a discount Stephen King, but for me, Koontz writes in a way I far prefer to King. I have only picked up one King novel willingly, and honestly, I judged the book by its cover. The artwork was so stunning on the hardback copy of Lisey's Story I was enticed by it. A different cover and I wouldn't have given it a second look. If I get the chance to read the screenplay of Storm Of The Century, that would be the second time I read King as a choice. I like your breakdown here and I am torn... I love this film so much I don't want it ruined. A sequel or tv spinoff could do just that. The questions we are left with are also worth leaving for each viewer to decide. Wrapping up the answers with a bow really takes a lot of fun out of it. If the sequel was perhaps a prequel like the Roanoke mystery with Linoge tied in, or maybe Ralphie returning to the island to repeat what had occurred with him but being unable to fully shake his human ties to it or its residents... Or maybe the sequel shows Linoge doing this one more time, his final lesson to Ralphie... There are ways it could be done but King would have to think carefully in that twisted brain of his to do it. I like that Colm Feore would be up for it. That could be a lot of awesome if the original cast and crew is dedicated to doing it. However, right now I stand with you. No sequel please. I don't know if it could do the original justice in any way.

Ralph would come back but not to take a child but to seek a mate to have a child or two instead of taking a child which is more tedious instead of better for Ralph to have a mate which would be better.

Je pense que vous avez raison. C'est à nous de savoir, c'est à nous de créer par l'imaginaire quel est l'univers d'ou vient Linoge.

Linoge is old and sick, so we must assume that he will die at some point. What he is seeking is someone (a child) that will assume the mantle of this old/evil consciousness, so here again if we were to do a prequel couldn't we assume that at some point Linoge was taken as a child as well?

I wrote a screenplay sequel that involves Robbie coming back to Little Tall for a mate. He targets a minister's daughter who has been shunned for getting pregnant and is now living in her car. Linoge follows to first observe Robbie's method in taunting the sinners and invades the dreams of the local girls. He forces the town into a game of chance but Robbie doesn't get the girl he wants because Linoge has rigged it. I also explain that Linoge failed to find himself a mate on Roanoke Island and he killed everyone. He puts Robbie in the same predicament when the "winner" refuses to go with him...

I'd love to see Mike continue the search, and run into Speedy Parker... who gives him something, maybe water from the territories that when consumed effectively nullifies Linogue's effects on Mike. Something so pure, that evil cant be used to fool him. Also, maybe Mike sees what AL actually looks like after 5,000+ years of life.

You are right a Sequel would be great and having the father run into the son in his work travels , would the son try to kill him or would he try to stop son from doing something or ??? . Many questions as well plus would he help his dad a little for maybe fun if he had any memory of him as dad left , so both a prequel and an after works big time

Well, his name wasn't Andre Linoge, at least not his birth name. If he is really thousands of years old, then he's older than France. Say just 2000 years old and it was in 1989 that mini series is set, 11BC was Gaul then.

Great video Sergio. Well done. I still stand by my opinion that a sequel would be great. You make some good points as to why a sequel TV series would be ill conceived. However, I can make the same points basically as to why a sequel would be desirable. Some sequels are actually as good as or even better than their predecessor, e.g., The Godfather Part II, Rocky II, Transformers II (it was as good as the first, in my opinion), the Batman movies, etc. As long as the movie or TV show continues the storyline, it is possible to do. I also think the age of the original cast would be advantageous as it shows believability and a natural symmetry to the story line. I tweeted Colm Feore, the actor who played Andre Linoge, a couple of years ago that a sequel TV series would be ideal and he liked my tweet. responded nicely back. and tacitly agreed with me. Worse case scenario, they re-cast the show but that wouldn't be all bad. I actually think they would get a few of the actors back like Casey Siemaszko, Deborah Farentino, and Colm Feore. Perhaps Tim Daly too. Who knows. This story line could be fantastic as it could really go into a lot of depth with a lot of interesting storylines. With the effective use of flashbacks and some imaginative writing, it could be really good TV. On a completely unrelated note, sorry for the misspelling of the word "limits." I wrote limites. Apologies. Also, how did you do the video? Do you do it yourself? The opening effects are great. The sound quality as well is good. So kudos to you on that. Oh, yes, you pronounced my name right. Thanks for that!

Sergio, I had a thought after I wrote my response. Perhaps not a TV series but another mini-series would be better! Something like five or six episodes could put the bookend on the series. I agree with your comments about Lost World actually. I LOVED Jurassic Park and even waited outside the store a half an hour, I remember, so I could buy the VHS when it came out. You make a good point. Yes, there are a LOT of bad sequels. One Hollywood person once said that all sequels should be subtitled, "The Search for More Money" as that is what they are -- the desire to capitalize on the original movie's success. I admire your video-making skill. I am interested in learning more about that for my internet marketing websites. Anyway, thanks again for the video.

I think that a sequel would be great a father searching for his son can go into the story of finding out that this is been happening all over till he comes face to face withe his son that opens a can of worms that his son starts to have thought of his family

Linoge doesn't care about fear, he doesn't care about being a leader. His lone goal was to get an apprentice. He admits he isn't immortal. He is pretty even tempered, unlike Randall Flagg. He isn't an entity like Pennywise. Linoge is much more straightforward than other villains It makes him both less and more menacing. He isn't for eating children, using their fears. But he wants to covert a child into whatever he is.

Knowing Hollywood they would do a reboot/sequel with the kids all grown up like how they did Doctor Sleep and have them remembering what happened to them and try to learn how to defend themselves if it is possible in case they are visited again so they don’t end up losing another child or grandchild depending on how often the kids are taken from their families. Ralph I’ve could be the new villain coming to take a child to teach all the things he was taught.

I think there should most definitely should be another one just one more because how it left off was a cliffhanger in itself and why i think that is because when mike seen his son at the end and he disappeared down the alley it was a sign his son was still alive and there should be a happy ending to the movie not devastating thats why i think there should be another one because i want to see the mother and father reunit with there son 💁♀️🥹
