i really appreciate this as a mixed race person. i bust out laughing at "my mother is normal" because same, my mom is also normal. for a long time, trevor noah was basically the only mixed race representation ive had and his experiences are nice to hear about but not entirely relatable. phil talking about it this way is just really nice to see!

I remember going to the O2 to watch Michael McIntyre in 2015 (Happy & Glorious Tour), it was the most ive ever laughed. There were bigger pauses in his act for laughing as it was hilarious but also it depends on the average laugh of the audience as you'll only hear the majority of people laugh, in the silent bits people may still be laughing but you cant hear them as the combined audience laughs have stopped.
