There's a difference between constructive criticism and negative feedback. This, my friend, is good constructive criticism that EA & SWGOH needs to heed to. I've seen so many loyal players quit. We don't mind spending a little money, but when it becomes a must to spend or get trampled behind, then there's a huge problem.

Given how they removed McMole2 from the game changers, and deleted every post anyone made about it in the forums, they wont listen to a word anyone has to say. Which is sad, because it just shows they don't have much intention to keep the game going for a long time when more people get tired of the 'panic shard farming, or buying overly priced packs' strategy they've been using.

Dude I'm so glad you made this video, I agree 100%. I honestly thought it was just me that thinks all those things, but it seems like everybody does and they do need to be addressed or else the game will die. Unless that is their plan to just burn everybody out as much as they can and with SWBF2 around the corner they're just cashing out. These are things that will either make the game or break the game. I myself am growing really tired of the game and I am a veteran. Been playing the game ever since it came out and it's not enjoyable anymore, everything feels like a huge grind/chore. Needless to say that the game requires lots of time to be put into.

#SWGOHBurnout We need another QOL update that changes a lot of things Here are a few... just shooting from the hip ||||RAIDS|||| - Auto register all guild members when raids are launched - Recalculate drop rates, Heroic HAAT should drop more gear boxes (3 at low rank, 5 at high rank) even at a lower rank ||||USER INTERFACE|||| - Mod Manager/Mod Sets/Mod Costs - Balance energy generation/usage/refresh cost (stop making Cantina energy a gate) - Fix Buff/Debuff markers - Show Turn Meter on upper right hand corner enemy display (along with protection/health) - Show #'s on enemy prot/health/tm... a bar isn't sufficient to determine combat details - PLEASE shuffle the gear each month in the daily challenges... we have THOUSANDS of pieces of useless gear because it's underutilised.... but we keep getting more daily from challenges. ||||CHARACTERS|||| - No New Characters... take a hiatus (6 months minimum.... after TLJ), we are tired of chase grinding - Don't add more gear levels, change the structure of how all gear is used - Stop adding more levels to grind out 5 tiers of mods to create one high level gear piece, make a gear piece associated only to its own level. - No more OP characters... Thrawn, Palpatine, R2, CLS have all thrown a major rift in the game and drastically shift the balance of power in the game. Also allow more than just gear to be exchanged; mods, gear, money, shards, store currencies, ability mats, etc ||||GALACTIC WAR||||| - Adjust the power levels per node, when a player who has NO G12 characters has a node 12 with all G12 characters (plus Zeta's)... this makes GW for the regular player, impossible. Or we are using (taking a lot of time) to run 3, 4, 5 G11/G10 teams to beat Node 12. Also .. EVERYTHING McMole2 just said We love SWGOH but your faltering on taking care of your player base. I STOPPED spending $ on this game because of the way it has been geared specifically towards those people who spend money....

You know what really grinds my gears? The fact that they put Paploo and Logray in Territory Battles platoons, and you need them right up to 7 stars...even multiples. That is a giant middle finger...on fire, in our collective faces. Sure, I spend money on the game but buying Chromium is not on the list of “Shit to do” - There are 5 toons in the game that I don’t have yet, and I haven’t needed them so far. I buy gear. And then! -no offense intended here but “Warrior” puts out a video; “First 45* Territory Map in History!” ...Gee! That’s real swell and all but, darnit! I have to commend you for approaching all of these topics which are literally driving players away at an alarming rate. I've seen more people quit in the last 7 days then in the year-and-a-half I've been playing. The Shameless money-grabbing / Panic forming is just disgusting. It causes players to fee frustration and resentment which only grows until they reach the point of quitting altogether. This game is going to come apart in the next couple of months if they don't concede at least some of the things we are requesting as players which are not outrageous they are reasonable. I honestly think that they are purposefully running this game into the ground as they release Battlefront 2

Arena rewards should also be uncoupled from a payout hour, instead you should have a 24hr cooldown reward claim option, where you may claim an arena reward once per day based on your highest rank of the day. Once you hit 1st (or whatever you can muster) you make your claim and don't have to sit in 1st for 30mins to an hour, locking others out and stressing yourself in the process.

I have said this time and time again. But they won't do it. People spend crystals to stay high in the ranking which means money is likely to be spent.

Exletion Agreed. Actually that same thing happened in another game I was playing, but way worse. People were spending thousands to get gears for their characters, and then suddenly the devs decided to make a huge update by implementing new gears that made the old ones ABSOLUTELY OBSOLETE & USELESS. People spent so much on stuff that was worthless after the update. And I don't mean just slightly weaker, I mean literally useless. What was the consequence? Thousands of people quit the game (including me), gave thousands of bad reviews on the app stores, and filed in countless complaints to the devs, demanding their money back. Like 50% of the people actually managed to get a lot of their money back, and the devs had to pay back millions of dollars. I don't know about the state of the game right now since that was many months ago, but I hope the devs learned their lesson. If you shit on your playerbase like that, then be prepared for a backlash. And to be honest, SWGOH is going into that direction...

After watching the video and reading quite a bit of the comments, this is what I've concluded (along with some of my own): 1. Yes, there's too many Zeta abilities upgrades for not enough Zeta materials available. 2. The gear pieces there are currently used in the game are unbalanced. Too many of one kind, not enough of the other one. Also, there are many holding stages for leveling a character's gear up (too many salvage pieces from level 9 to 10, many more from 10 to 11 and so on) and with each new gear tier, this is going to be increasingly harder. So why not ease the previous gear crunch after the launch of a new gear tier? 3. The Raid rewards are unbalanced. Let's say that 21 people solo the Rancor, they will all have the same amount of damage inflicted (or pretty close) and then two of them get very different rewards because by randomness one is ranked at 1 and the other at 21. Why don't give rewards based on the damage done? 4. The rewards given for a prize box are mostly undesired for many people. And I'm not talking about the possible ones, it's about the one you actually get when you open the box. There should be a smarter prize system where it identifies a disered gear piece based on your favourite list (or something like that) 5. Many people have different commitments and can't login every other hour. But the game has too many cooldowns in various areas or some features need at lot of time to complete (hello territory battle) and this is becoming less player friendly. The Flash Events weren't player friendly either, exactly because if you wanted to do it every time it came around, you'd need to login every now and then. 6. About mods: moving them around should be easier and there should be a separate energy for them, because players who just are relatively new to the game have this huge dilemma "Do I spend Cantina Energy to farm all the characters I need in the the many different areas of the game or do I farm mods to improve this or that character?" 7. The game updates kinda weird as of now. For example, in one forum post, it was hinted that Thrawn would come back along with a Phoenix improvement, but in October's monthly schedule post, there was no mention about this event and then, out of nowhere, Thrawn event was announced return. 8. Recently, there are too many legendary events. Aren't these supposed to be a rare occasion? 9. Character cadence is really lackluster as of now. 10. Some commented that all solutions that were said on this video don't give money to the developers directly, but I disagree. Because this is kinda scaring people away. I started playing the game with about 5 other friends. Now, we are 2. And those who left, said basically that they weren't happy with the game anymore

All I'm seeing out of CG these days seems to say that they just want to make more money. Now I can't fault a business for trying to make money, but it seems like CG (Or maybe EA, who knows) took a look at the game and said "Don't bother with these things, they won't make us money." So now we have extremely short notice on important events like Thrawn and CLS in order to incentivize people to spend money to get them, using tactics to reward large spenders, while making it tougher to spend less money.

Nick Schill The f2p player in me agrees 100%. The problem is tho, the p2w guys keep the game alive for us, so that we can play... If people stopped spending, CG/EA would just stop the development because they would make no profit anymore, and the game would be shut down. Whether we like it or not, it's all a big business after all. Also, it is free for everyone to decide what they want to do with their money. Some see it as their main or only hobby and therefore spend money on it, some are addicted to gambling or are super impatient/want to speed things up, and some just have the money. If they wish to spend on the game, they should be allowed to do so. The only thing that I can't stand are people who spend a ton of money on this game and then actively brag about it. Like "look how good I am blah blah". If they stay humble about it and don't act like piece of shits, then it's all cool. But once they start thinking that they are automatically better than anyone else just because they are spending, and that they are allowed to look down on anyone who spends less or doesn't spend at all, then they can go to hell. Nobody needs this elitist thinking, and people who think they are awesome, even tho knowing that they only achieved it with money and not with effort, can go brag about their virtual dick somewhere else. This elitist thinking just damages the community and serves no one.

First time i actually comment on your videos, but this one deserves attention. I went from loving the game and farming my favorite chars, to needing to stop and get the latest toon they push out with close to no warning, if I do not, I get abused in PvP, so now i farm phoenix, farm yet another Han for TB, farm both rebel Hoth, none of those i actually wanted to farm. BB8 is one we wanted, so with a couple of weeks farm all First Order chars or pay an abusive rng that disrespects the average player base. Chimera event is a summary of all of this...

Great points! I just had a discussion with my wife last week that I've gotta quit spending so much time on my phone playing this game. I'm a guild leader and spending too much time on the phone and it's starting to distract from more important things in life. It really is an addiction that doesn't offer much. I think the only things I would add to this are a Bronzium multi-buy button, increasing the # of donations allowed per item, and allowing gold items to be donated. But I'm glad you posted this vid. Hopefully, CG and EA see it, tuck their tail, and fix some things.

Rcs Systems I dont care about the cost since its pretty low. What I do care about is the amount of time it takes to move them around. If im not wrong then you can only have 500 mods in your inventory. I had 500 in my inventory and all my 7* (and some lower ones) modded. I wanted to do a complete mod overhaul and therefore I needed to sell hundreds of mods in order to DETACH the mods from my toons. They should remove the 500 mod limit and make it infinite or at least like a few thousands... it took me 8 fucking hours to rearrange the mods on all my toons because of that and having to decide on which mods to sell! And I wasnt even slacking.

You’ve made some good points in regard to gear and general quality of life upgrades. However, there is some consideration to be taken with the value of special items and characters in the game. Not everyone should have a 7* Thrawn or an endless supply of Zetas. Their rarity and difficulty to unlock should be comparable with their abilities in the game. I don’t mind working for something if the payoff is worth the wait. The biggest problem with this game is the blatant money grab in regard to characters and packs. I’m a free to pay player but I would consider buying a pack occasionally if there was real value offered.

I think two things that could be beneficial would be adding a zeta tier to the weekly omega battles. Get 1 zeta but it's only once or twice a week. Also we need the rancor raid gear increased to 5 donations and/or a raid gear trading system. I have 2 droid callers and we'll over 600 furnaces so even if the rate was 5-1 I would utilize it

Thank you for being voice of the SWGOH community. The game has gone from fun and exciting into more of a responsibility. I hate having to panic farm and feel bad for the guild leaders and officers STILL using ticket tracking spreadsheets. I think you basically covered everything that concerns many of us players in the community, although I would like to add that they give out Crystals to lower tiers of fleet battles especially when crystals are the META. Slow down on the new character releases or adding a crap load of Zeta abilities at once. Instead of releasing multiple versions of some toons, please fix broken synergies i.e. Separatist, Scoundrel/Bounty Hunters, and perhaps the introduction to "Dathomirian" tag on nightsisters and brothers. okay my mini rant over but I am very glad that you did this and hope that devs do listen and take these into consideration.

Dude, your video was well thought out and very constructive. I appreciate that you didn't just complain about the issues, but you offered considered solutions to those issues. Instead of kicking you out of their Game Changers program, they should hire you to help them work these issues out. You gave them your work for free and they were ungrateful about it. Unfortunately, some of the things that you/we complain about, like the induced panic farming, is done very deliberately by CG in order to make money, and they really don't like being called out on it. It was hella brave of you to do so, IMHO. Please don't let this discourage you from making future videos. You've made as much of contribution to the SWGoH community with your amazing theory crafting as any KZbinr out there.

GREAT VIDEO! One thing to bring back... before we had the guilds it was possible to sell off excess gear pieces... like you I have thousands of some pieces that I will probably never need... SHIPS CHALLENGES... Make the challenges three times instead of two just like the other challenges Fleet Crystals Add the crustal payouts to more than the top 20... I love ships and I have been farming and playing them for a whole year... but rewarding only the top 20 is a slap in the face to the rest of the 1000 or so players on a shard. It rewards the whales and dolphins... but many F2P people just say I am too far behind there is no incentive for me to try to catch up now.

Jared Betts True! I haven't worked tooo much on my ships but I could get to top 50 if I put a lot of effort into it. But right now there is no point for this, since there are no crystal rewards for top 50... They should make the same rewards like in the normal arena imo. I prefer chilling around top 100 in ships than working my ass off to try and get into top 50 just for like 100 more ship currency. It's not worth the effort for me. And I know I won't get into the top 20 so I have no desire to work on my ships, because I am already too far behind and I know I won't be able to catch up to those whales in the top 20 ships, so there is no point in trying. Giving crystal rewards to ALL ship ranks would make it way more competitive than how it is right now. Hope that will be implemented at some point.

Really loved your video bruh. And I would like to add on .. they should make dark side characters at least a little on par with rebels..I'm fed up with rebels .I think the half of the characters in the game are rebels .and I couldn't imagine Biggs just crushing a powerful sith like Vader with such ease. And Vader could have had at least one unique ability ..as a child he was my favorite character but the game has destroyed his image of being an awesome character

I heard this video is what put you at odds with the Game Changer program, this is also the video they should review and bring you back in! Nearly every suggestion you put out in this video has been addressed by EA, especially in recent weeks! The only thing I noticed that hasn't been addressed by more than voice is the mod management, which everyone beats the drum on. You pretty comprehensively talked to every single thing that needed attention in an almost prophetic fashion most of them came around. This feedback is essentially what EA seems hungry to redress now and I think this video proves you are a great advocate for the player community!

They should hire you as a consultant. You really nailed the problems. One other big problem I'll add is Bronzium packs. They either need to let us buy them 10 at a time, or make ally points useful for something else. I suggest letting us spend ally points to fill guild mates donations (instead of giving up the item) since they are always asking for items I also need.

I agree with almost everything in this video except the "too much content" position. Before territory battles came out the community was clamoring that we didn't have enough content and now we are saying there is too much. Personally, I think people are burned out on territory battles because CG didn't have more than one battle map, including one for dark side characters, to rotate between before launching the feature. Claiming we would be using our entire rosters was deceptive when it's just a deployment feature. Also, why they didn't include epic boss fights in the later stages of the battles against Vader and Veers is beyond me.

+tssmith1701 yeah, I was hoping tb would be a good thing for the game, but it's quickly turned into a chore. I'm able to breeze through the waves, but I know I'm in an incredibly small minority there. A lot of people are struggling to finish, and the freezing bugs are killing things.

The TB bugs are annoying but on the whole I really like TB's. No one is making anyone do EVERYTHING in the game. If you're busy and can't get to it then you miss out, same with any game.

We are forced to do bullshit gamemodes just to appease your guild, because without being in a good guild you are pretty much FUCKED for thr rest of the game.

I just cancelled my preorder for BF2 and my origin access account. McMole2 makes the best SWGOH videos and analysis and even goes through the effort to timestamp his videos so people can skip to the parts they are interested in, way better than every other SWGOH youtuber around IMO. This is too much of a coincidence and given EA's track record I'm giving the conspiracy theorists the benefit of the doubt on this one. EA/CG you just lost a USD3k/year SWGOH player... I'll not spend another cent on this game or any other EA game until McMole is given his due! This was a constructive analysis of the game!

Remember that EA is only the publisher and not the dev. They won't really lose either way, but the devs will, whether it's this game or a console game.

I believe you don't understand how the game industry works. I've been in the game industry since 95 as member of the press to being a publisher myself for F2P/Freemium MMOs in Asia as well as a distributor of Rockstar and Blizzard boxes back in the day, and I can tell you that EA will lose part of my money. Devs (even the self funded ones) rely on publishers for marketing/distribution, server/network infrastructure and most of the time money to develop comes from the publisher. If self funded they can negotiate a larger share of the pie while if they took development money then the publishers control them fully. While my spend is nothing in the grand scheme of things, it's one person doing his part and if enough people do it at the same time, the bottomline of both the dev and the publisher will be impacted. In this particular case, both CG and EA has had a history of pissing on the community, obviously EA is way more infamous for this than CG is but both have a hand in this.

Eric Lüthi Krennic (Zeta) or Thrawn could work. Add Shoretrooper for survivabilty. You can do something like Thrawn, Palps, Vader, Shore and maybe Boba Fett to create some kind of a n abilityblock/stun team. It‘s funny, when your Boba ist very fast and Thrawn goes right after him. But don‘t even try to battle against CLS Leads...

Pascal Pink yeah, i thought about that too. Krennic Lead gives out a lot of abilityblocks so thrawn can stun them. But my krennic is still 5* and no Zeta on him. It's sad that palpi can't heal himself under a Nihilus. I just like to use palpatine. If you have 3 shocks on the enemy he really goes to town:) For GW I use Palp L, Thrawn, Deathtrooper, Krennic and Shore. Most time i hit node 12 with almost full protection on everyone but I cant set that team in arena or I'll fall from 80 to over 200. :( Thanks for your input

I use a palpatine lead with Vader, tarkin, maul, and boba. It works pretty well for me and am generally below the 200s which I am happy with!

I quit the game just before Territory Battles came out and haven't missed it one bit. Take away the Star Wars skin and this game dies. Take away the f2p tropes of timers, paywalls, and restricted events and the illusion of a game falls apart. It's literally only a carrot on the stick game. It's a series of chores you're asked to complete (essentially required, if you want to be competitive) on a daily basis and that's it. I realize people who are still enjoying the game might disagree with what I'm saying, but the facade of this game has really shown since I've moved on to other, full-fledged games. There's no sense of skill or strategy in logging in at the set times of day, simming x number of battles for dailies and shards/gear, checking shops, doing GW/challenges, doing the arena battles, and hitting the raids. I'd even argue there doesn't seem to be much strategy in TB outside the leaders of the guild who organize everything. Players just send in the characters they're meant to send in (from what I've seen) and they're done. Like I said, it's an illusion of gameplay. That, coupled with blatant balance/power creep problems really kill this game. If someone's still reading this novel of a comment, I apologize for potentially wasting your time with negativity towards a game you love. But as I've said, there's far less 'game' here than they lead you to believe.

I agree with you but continue to play because: A. I haven't spent a dime on this game B. It's kind of like a collection of action figures to me, except digital and I can make them fight other people from around the world C. My guild mates are cool people. If I had any money invested in this game I would have quit a while ago. I know that seems backwards but the reality is that no matter what sum I would put in, I wouldn't feel like I got my money's worth - but as a free player, who cares?

A couple things I would like: 1) the ability to change the reward time for the two arenas; as it is I don't much bother because these happen right in the middle of when I am working. 2) Raid rewards should have an added gear bonus for maximizing damage in each phase; as it is getting a zero is sometimes better than getting 1st place (this just happened to me), so why bother competing/cooperating. 3) Galactic War would be more interesting if there were alternate paths via star-fighter battles, giving different rewards, especially needed gear.

@mcmole2 I think the zeta situation is out of hand. 69 months for the average player, almost 6 years to zeta everything? Are you kidding me? I don't know if this would construe as a quick fix but I feel it is fair. Let's say just by doing daily completions earns you 1 full zeta in 2 weeks. 14 days = 14 mats. Guarantee 1 zeta mat in challenges. 6 challenges in 2 weeks = 6 mats. That's 20 mats in 2 weeks. Thoughts?

Another thing to help reduce the time commitment to reduce burn out is reduce the number of battles in GW to 6 battles instead of 12. Gives the same rewards by shifting the rewards around.

Awesome video and great points. I am not a hard core gamer, but it seems like to much is going at one time and it is getting increasingly hard to keep up. It is difficult to know where to focus my efforts when so much new stuff is introduced with no real way to prepare. I love the game, but I feel it is getting to be too much at times.

Right on!!! Great video man! Agreed on all points. I love the game, and with any game, there are always problems. The biggest problem is this is a cash cow for EA. They average around $35,000 a day in profit, so there is zero urgency to change. Thank God there are no ads lol. They are also missing out on communication, forcing us to go to apps like discord, when they could monopolize all aspects of the game. Definitely need to listen to the community, everyone would benifit from an already good situation. Thank you for speaking up bro!!

Ewok complaint. Released in July. 4 - 6 weeks to Chromium packs. then 4 - 6 weeks to free to play. July -> August -> September -> October. It hasn't been 5 months, it's been almost 3 months, so that means they're due to go free to play this month. Character cadence is proceeding as advertised.
