I think the line where the breadboxes meet is actually really distracting. I would have loved to have seen that filled with the wood filler as well! Great DIY though. It turned out so much cuter than I ever thought two breadboxes stick together could be.

That is an amazing idea and it would be even better to add a shelf in the center to add additional space for storage. I love it ad it is but you can get more storage space by adding a shelf in the center of each bread box.

It looks cool, but let's be real. It's still high consumption to buy two new bread boxes and use them for this. I think the point of it is to find stuff in goodwill or similar, which would mean lower consumption of goods. Otherwise we're just deluding ourselves by making it look like we're upcycling stuff.

And Lowe's discontinued selling that breadbox 5 months later. 🤦‍♀️🙄 I wish these companies had a little more insight and thought toward what they encourage designers to work with, or if it's 100% designer choice and they're planning on cycling out an item within 6 months they could have the decency to say that to the person they're working with. Dead links do not help anyone and it really just reinforces my less than positive opinions of Lowe's as a company.
