Don't feel discouraged. I'm new and just found you a couple of weeks ago. You're the only person I've found with similar hair to mine. I think these stupid algorithms flop back and forth, but know you are still being found and seen! Thank you so much for your help and information. I'm all for you doing more and doing you, but please don't be discouraged. 😊❤

Courtney, it's not just you. The AI influence on search results, Google changes in content delivery, and the shear amount of content delivered via all these platforms...it's too much to keep up with. I hear you, I see you, and I'm with you. I had to take medical leave and I have been thinking a lot about what's going to happen when I get back. Here's what I know, the people who love you for who you are will go along with you, we have all gotten to know you through the years and enjoy your enthusiasm, your spark and your joy. If that is zapped, none of us want that for you. Keep doing your little thing in your little corner of the internet... Shine On!!!

@@SwavyCurlyCourtney I’m at a don’t-care-what-they-do-next phase. I’m just going to keep going the way I can and want to. If you need to chat about any of it, I’m always here, I know how hard it is to explain this all to people who don’t create content. ❤️❤️

The problem is that any time someone comes up with a good idea for a video (makeup, curly hair, politics, etc) within a few years a bunch of people have jumped on the band wagon and the space becomes super saturated. Then people get over whelmed with all of it and move on to other topics. Also, once people learn how to do their own makeup or hair they won't have a need to watch those types of videos anymore. I can't imagine how crazy it is to try to keep up with everything on the internet. I love your content and have learned a ton about my own wavy curly hair from you. Now my hair looks amazing every day and I appreciate that so much. I'm excited for you to switch up your content though and I think it's a good thing for you to do. Can't wait to see what you come up with from here on out.

I feel this too. I got burned out on curly hair content and didn’t need it anymore. I’m also styling my curly hair differently now (old fashioned curlers! I love my curls now!) and much of the content out there doesn’t apply to me anymore. But I still followed Courtney because she’s so lovely and joyful. 🥰 I watch her videos just because I like her and enjoy whatever she comes up with. I’d watch cooking with Courtney, or crafts, or even her RA journey (I have it too.). I’m excited for whatever she creates next.

I owe you a lot! You have been a true inspiration for me and I’m so grateful! I came across some of your videos in 2020 and was inspired in August of that year to experiment and learn about my hair texture. Your encouragement and sheer information about hair and hair products has been so helpful and I watched your content faithfully. Three years ago I decided to see what my hair could be. For forty years I kept it really short so as not to have to mess with it. I found your videos and, wow, finally I felt maybe I could let it grow. I watched with wonder and awe. My hair got long enough to put it in a ponytail so I started trying your tips. Then, I broke my shoulder and elbow and off came the hair again. After a year of rehab and recovery I began anew. All the while I was watching your channel and dreaming. These last two years I learned so much by following you and my hair is now gorgeous. Well not every day but most days. Thank you for your dedication and commitment. This is one 71-year-old who appreciates you.

You are the only curly hair person on you tube that i could related to. And we could not be more differentin who we are and how we live our lives. However you do live with RA and I live with AS in the realm of rheumatology chronic ilnesess. And thanks to you i was able to start experimenting with my hair in a way which was least taxing on my body. After pondering for a year i treated myself to a dyson also as everything else I picked up from you worked so well... and my joints were streaming at me to stop hair drying for sooo loong. As one chronic ilness person to another - treat yourself with kindness. Give yourself time to breathe, our passions can take a toll and pivoting from them into something else can be incredibly healing for body and mind. I admire you for off the screen life - being a mum is hard work and doing that with chronic ilness is an incredible feat. I may not be able to relate to as much of your new content as I used to but I ll happily drop in to see how you are and enjoy your videos regardless.

Not to sound dramatic but...your channel has been pretty life changing for me! Long story, but I've been on quite a journey the last 10 years after spending the majority of my life feeling very restricted and boxed in...and my hair played a big part in that. It was nothing but a source of stress and I had no idea how to manage it. I found your channel somehow during COVID and it was so freeing discovering the natural texture of my hair for the first time...like you always say, finally loving the hair I was fearfully and wonderfully made with! But I came for the curly hair tutorials and ultimately stayed for you! There is no shortage of curly hair content creators, but you are the only one where I watch every video. You really do brighten up this corner of the Internet! All that to say...I am here for this! ❤️

My hair would not be the same without you! You really have been an extremely unique space on the internet, it always felt like every other KZbinr I watched had some other type of hair that made their content not helpful to me whether it was coarse or dry or damaged. You were the only one whose tips and tricks actually worked for me. Before I found you, I was trying to imitate those other ladies and would fail, using way too much product or the wrong types of products. Long comment to just share my appreciation. That being said, I think back to other videos I’ve enjoyed, for example, I remember the one you shared about eating protein during your pregnancy. Loved it! Hope you can get out of the burn out and enjoy the process more, again. We all wish you the best and will always be grateful for your content.

Courtney, you/your videos have made a huge impact on my hair and my self confidence. Your videos are the most seen I have felt for my hair type ANYWHERE. I learned about your channel from a Reddit comment a few months ago, and in only a few months I’ve seen such a change and improvement in my waves/curls. I’d had a lot of success with my wavy/curly hair a while back, but’ve been struggling a lot the last couple years (hair loss, stress, loss of volume and definition). I felt so defeated and bad about my appearance. I’ve been so happy to have curls and waves again! I totally understand burnout, and I hope you are able to find happiness with whatever content you choose to make!

Bless your heart hon!!! Thank you for all you’ve been doing for all of us! I think your videos are AMAZING! I just happened upon your channel a few days ago and I’ve been binge watching them to learn more so I can start my CG life for my wavy hair. I’m 57 and I’ve known my whole life I’ve had natural waves, but I never realized I was capable of getting way more waves and curl until I stumbled upon your content. My hair started changing a few yrs ago. I think I was going through menopause. (After our 6th baby I had to have a partial hysterectomy) So I didn’t really know when I went through menopause bc the only signs i had was sudden weight gain in my midsection, my hair changing, and even more difficulty sleeping than normal. I’ve been frustrated with my hair bc it has changed so much. What I used to do for my hair to keep it beautifully soft, shiny, bouncy and healthy, has no longer been working. It’s now finer, frizzy, and has been falling out( I believe mostly bc of hormones.) I have less density now as well. So I’m having to learn all over again what my hair needs are,and how to work with it to try to get it looking its best again, so I can wear it down more often. I wear it up a lot bc I’m now a grandma of 8. I watch our youngest grandchild several days a week. So I keep pretty busy, and it’s easier just to put it up rather than having my hair down bc it bugs me the way it is right now! Lol! I am trying to learn as much as I can before I go buying a bunch of products that might not to work for my hair. It’s overwhelming now with all of the products out there for wavy and curly hair. All of the different brands and all of CG hair routines as well. That’s how I came upon your channel. I can’t really afford a lot of the higher end products right now,so I’ve been searching for more affordable brands that might give me some good results. That’s overlooking also bc there are so many brands out there and why I’ve been watching your channel bc you review all spurts of brands. I love your genuine personality and how you explain things in your videos. Your videos are very helpful and uplifting. The fact that you are a Christian and you’re not afraid to show that is a wonderful bonus! You have helped so many people their hair journeys, and we are blessed to have you making these videos. But…you have to do what YOU feel you need to do for yourself and your family! I hate the way social media works now, with how the algorithms are all messed up! One of our sons posts content on social media and one of our daughters in-law partially relies on social media for her online/in store boutique, and the algorithms just their things off for them and so many others that rely on SM for their work. It’s really a shame. I for one know I will continue to watch you on your channel no matter what content you post, just bc of your personality and the hard work and joy you put into your videos. I’m going to keep watching and studying your videos in hopes I can learn more on my new journey to rediscover my hair needs. My hair seems to have a lot of similarities as yours, so I’m hopeful that I will get this all figured out eventually. You’ve made me realize this isn’t an overnight fix to reach my hair goal. Thank you so very much for all of your time, hard work and joy you put into each of your videos! God bless you and your family!❤🙏🏻

I can admit that most of your videos aren't relevant for me and my very curly hair. But you are so engaging and authentic that I watch every video that you post and share the info with my wavy haired sisters. My favorite you tubers have all struggled with the ever evolving internet. Their channels started as primarily beauty focused. They now are life focused. Their videos will be on whatever is going on in their life or whatever has their interest. That will range from beauty, hair, cooking, travel, work life balance, dating, books and their walk with Christ. Changing up your content might cost you some viewers in the beginning but you'll likely gain viewers down the road. Jessica Braun made the change as well as Taylor Wynn

You remind me of my mom that passed away when I was 21 years old. Yall are both very gentle and kind. It is good to see that there are still good people in the world. I experienced severe burnout last Fall and am still slowly coming down the other side of it, so I have an idea what you're going through. Now is the time to protect your mind, body, and spirit, and STOP anything that is hurting it... and that's a VERY hard thing to do when you, at the same time, love the thing that's hurting you, you depend on it financially and even socially, and it's a huge part of your being, your identity. My burnout culminated with a work injury that has forever changed me physically, but the mental repercussions are just as prominent, if not more so. I learned that even when you've given your all to your work place, they will always want more, so it's up to us to set limits on how much of our lives we are willing to sacrifice for it, because it will take all of what we have if we allow it. It is wonderful you are being true to yourself and making this needed change in your life. Your authenticity shines through to your viewers and people respect and love that! I want to thank you (so much!) for keeping your videos up because I am new to this curly girl journey and you are already helping me so much! I've dabbled in it before, but never quite had the right advice or tools or knowledge you so wonderfully present. I'm sticking around and looking forward to all the new things you have to say when you are ready to say them. 😊 I already learned something from you today that will help a friend of mine! She has an Australian shepherd dog that needs way more run time than she's getting, and that toy that you showed that flings a ball out for dogs would be great for her! See, you're still doing what God put us here for... helping people! 😀 Thank you, and God Bless Courtney!

Thank you for all the content you have shared regarding wavy/curly hair, Courtney! You definitely were one of my resources to turn to to learn how to care for my hair properly and I greatly thank you for that. If you see more folks gradually shifting away from your channel as you shift gears, just know for many people you made a positive change in their life. I know for me, I won't continue to follow along simply because I am not much into watching vloggers and those I do have a very similar lifestyle to me, but just know I am incredibly grateful for having run into your channel during a period of my life where I needed some help. Wishing you and your family a whole lot of happiness, wellness, and success. Thank you again for everything!❤️

Real talk back at ya. I am SOOOOOOO glad you filmed this. So glad you’re being honest. So glad you’re doing what is healthy for you. I found your channel just a few days ago as I finally realized I probably had wavy/curly hair. Your content is the most helpful information I found. Your content changed my life. But beyond your content I kept coming back for you. You’re hilarious and I can’t help but smile when I watch your videos. I love that you’re down to earth, I LOVE that you keep your faith right up front. I am so here for any content you put out that sparks joy and taps into the wealth of creativity God gave you. The internet is a brutal place. I’m so thankful you’re braving it to bring positivity and joy to us. I thank God for you. I’m praying for you as you step into this new chapter.

I'm thrilled that you'll be sharing more of your personal story! I desperately need it. I noticed that the more hair videos I watched (from anyone) the more stressed out I became. I just found your channel about a couple of months ago and I love your videos. I find them so helpful and encouraging! I also love your T-shirts that share your faith. I'm sure the Lord will lead you in what He wants you to do next. One of the most important things is being there for your children. I also am a stay at home mom. I have homeschooled my 2 boys and now the oldest is headed to college and the youngest is finishing high school. The years with them have been so precious but too short. Enjoy your littles while they're young, it goes by way too quickly. ❤

Courtney, I just discovered you a few weeks ago and have been watching you almost every day since. I'm very interested in learning how to take better care of my hair and get it to look like I want it to. I'm so grateful that you're passionate about this and have shared so much content. I actually just got my first Perfect Haircare towels and brush today, and am excited to try your routine tomorrow. I'm very glad that you are leaving all of your old content up as I'm just getting started with it. I also understand burnout and the need to change and grow. I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future. I'm 63 years old, and you're teaching me things about my hair that I never knew and am excited to try. Also, I am a stay at home mom. My kids are young adults now. I home schooled both of them. I'm also a Christian, so I love it when you say that we're fearfully and wonderfully made, and I enjoy seeing your t-shirts. You're being very wise to pay attention to how you feel and take care of yourself. You have to take care of yourself if you're going to have anything to give to anyone else, especially your precious babies. I really enjoy your openess, humor and enthusiasm. You're very fun to watch and listen to. You do a great job with your videos. I'm VERY glad you're not leaving KZbin. I just 'met' you😊 and really look forwqrd to spending more time with you. Thanks so much for all of your work that comes from your sincere desire to help others. I'm very grateful for you. See you soon.😊

I understand and I'm excited to see what's next for you! You were the first curly girl I found when I came to terms with my hair.. luckily I'm wavy too. 😎 you've helped me be proud of my hair. Above all take care of yourself so you can take care of your family and deal with your RA. I'm 65 years old and my mom was diagnosed with RA much later than you were. I'm so glad you found out now before as much damage can happen. I have Meniere's disease, and have been disabled from that fir 10 years. Watching Mom and my experiences have taught me that's there's a fine line between being active and doing too much for your health. Stress is the worst thing for an autoimmune disease so I'm glad you're doing what you need to. I'm praying for you 🙏 Your personality has helped my day many times since I found you..😊

i will forever be grateful for your videos. You helped me fix my hair, without the gatekeeping and negativity of so many other creators. On the consumer side of content creation, I'm burned out on all things curly. i have spent the past year and a half on trial and error. Now that I've figured out the best balance of products / routine that my hair likes (and expedite the process to save my poor back), i no longer have a need to consume curly content. I fixed my hair, that project is done. I'll always appreciate a good product review / suggestion here and there. But my days of analyzing wash routines while furiously scribbling on my figurative clipboard are over. God puts us somewhere to do a job, and sometimes that job ends. He will find you a new one, don't you worry!

Courtney I hope you read this. OG sub here. Since the first year. I'm so thankful for all of your educational content. At first as I was watching the video I thought you were leaving. I was about to cry lol But then you said you will be vlogging and I got so happy! I'm so excited. Through out the years I've gotten to know you a bit. You've blessed my life in so many ways. When you shared your testimony about your health and also in the video where you shared the reason why you stopped riding horses. I understood that you know God, and you have a relationship with Him. God spoke to me through your experiences with Him. I am thankful. I love that you wore your shirt "He is Risen". I know you are bold to speak about Christ. Nothing happens by coincidence. You might believe that you are doing this shift because of the algorithm but truly God is sovereign over everything. If He allowed this to happen it is for a reason. Be attentive, be aware of what He desires for you to do. Sharing your life with us, is sharing what the life of a daughter of God is. In many ways, from the way you carry yourself, to the way you always keep your house clean. Your entire life represents Him. Not everyone will see it that way. But to those who the Father is already workin in, you will bless their lives by sharing your life for us to see. It doesn't have to be a sermon or a preaching, just you being you. Genuinely you. A daughter of God and her life. Be bold Courtney. I leave this with you, for you to meditate on: "You yourselves are all the endorsement we need. Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it-not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives-and we publish it." 2 Corinthians 3:2-3 MSG I love you Courtney!

Your goal of 'helping as many people as possible' is not a good goal for you personally. Because you are never going to reach it if you phrase it that way. You HAVE helped so many people. You have reached that goal. Now it's time for a new goal. I hope you find your creativity again, because you are an amazing video maker/content creator/artist and person and I'm sure you will be amazing in whatever you chose to do, because you are a passionate, intelligent and real person. I want to thank you for all the content. I have learned so much from you about my own hair, and I have enjoyed watching your beautiful hair.
