I ended up building a team of Giratina, Gastrodon, Lugia, Dragapult, Glimmora, and Great Tusk... That being said, if I decided to just avoid legendaries entirely, or limit myself to only one legendary, and grab Amoonguss and/or Kilowattrel instead, I think could actually make for a more balanced team! Amoongus especially could actually be the choice here.

Like it actually makes you be careful if you take that potentially good mon that is *also* their typing. In the 2nd connect 4 it would make taking something like "Iron Bundle" dangerous because its water and ice and could give the other player a connect. Could've been a cool mixup to the game.

Video idea: "We play chess then we battle" Basically each side has pokemon that represent each piece and you get to pick your team based on the pieces you took from the opponent Each side will be randomized, but certain pieces will be specific pokemon. King: Legendary Queen:Psuedo or paradox Knights:Starters Bishops/rooks: Pokemon with BST between 500-550 Pawns: Pokemon with bst under 500 The advantage to the winner is they get the legendary, and maybe pick 1 punishment for the loser. What i listed is purely my thoughts on it, and obviously is purely up to change. Also if the loser has no accumulated atleast 6 pieces, the winner gets to chose the remainder, to make it so its not to cruel maybe with the condition that they atleast get two pokemon equal to knight/bisop/rooks but winners choice of course.

The main play I think he could've done differently was to secure column D when patters was setting up his connect 4 on the left. You block his only connect 4 and give yourself a big column in the middle.

Interesting game concept! Just an idea but next time you have to choose a Pokémon from the same column you want to place a piece on the connect four board. It adds more strategy as you could influence the other persons picks by making them have to block you.

A cool connect four idea would be to have all types available. You would not be allowed to put a certain type next to a type that it was weak to. You also cannot use the same type twice. The winner must use 2 of the types in their winning line of 4. As a reward they can pick the two types for their opponent. Thought this could add some extra strategy to the game.

I have a then we fight idea. Hopefully you Luke, or the dads can make it happen. Each buys a booster bundle (6packs) of Paldean Fates. If you pull a shiny=any ability, if you pull full art=1 illegal move, if you pull a shiny full art you get any ability with 1 illegal move. You can only take one mon per pack so choose wisely. It’s just an idea I have had since I started ripping packs again. Love all the content 👍
