It's just over over a week in advance (like 10 days) for editing purposes. Typically we record on Mondays (when things go to plan) and then the episode goes live the following Friday. This one was actually a shorter turn around, we recorded it this past Monday (the 11th) and it went up today (the 15th).

Can I just say guys, I don't know if everyone just came to the game with a really good Vibe and attitude today, or maybe you changed up how you record your audio, or something. But this whole game just seemed to flow so well the banter was seamles. Probably the number one game I've watched where it just felt like I was sitting at a table at my local game store. This was really enjoyable, for sure. I almost wish you ran it back just to see how things would go if the crabs didn't show up in the opening plays. Additionally, the politicking was very limited, only because the threats were clearly identifiable. I feel like when Richard is around, he spends a lot of time redirecting threat, even more than Crim. In this game, Crim did what he wanted without much resistance. Phil had a ton of artifacts, Seth was trying to pop off was Voltron Wolverine, and Tomer wanted to show off Khaldra - which he did in an awesome way. Overall, well done!

Phil missed a huge play. When Crim milled everyone over 40 cards he could have exile gerrard's hourglass pendant and put all those cards straight onto the battlefield. That play would have been so sweet.

@retrofuturistJL The free equip from Sigardas Aid is a trigger from the Enchantment, so if a creature has protection from White, the trigger can't target it. Tomer knew this though, and didn't equip to the Esper Sentinel

Sometimes we have to go in ourselves and ask the real questions: When all that these collabs are is to make dumb word puns like Storm having Storm or color Jokes like Captain America being blue cause MERICA despite having nothing to do with blue is it even with putting them in the first place. Just wait a few more of these and we get just straight up a 1U instant destroy target card just because it hase to be that colour to fit the looks and has to do that thing because that is what it is associate with it

Cap is actually a blue character. Think of the Jeskai Way: “The clan focuses on strategy over strengths, planning battles against the other clans...” The clan mechanic is rebound, which is something Cap’s shield is known for doing. The clan is full of martial artists, and Cap’s one of the best martial artists due to his amazing (but oft downplayed) memory.

Still good but not totally busted and encourages people to kill the table with lightning bolt variants which is awesome.

TLDR: There is too much going on for the game to be so complicated, unintuitive, and expansive. The move away from accessibility and flavor is making each subsequent product where on my immersion and interest. All of that fatigue is making it hard to absorb ancillary or tangential material such as clash. With all the mistakes/greed coming from WOTC continually for several years now, culminating in the change of print with secret lair I am finding it hard to continue supporting you guys. Sometimes you are critical, but are unabashedly going to continue to promote the game in a way that is not critical enough. I understand why, and it isn't your job to stand up for a fight you may not even find valid, but I would feel remiss in continuing to watch until I just don't anymore. Truly, in all ways, I feel that WOTC has defeated the criticism under the mistaken banner of expanding player bases and rising value. Unequivocally, in the ways that matter to me most, the familiarity felt from the lore that embraced me after playing for years fell from form. Mtg was never perfect, but seemed to be constantly attempting to be better, and now the game has found it self bloated and egotistical. Bought as a prized purebred by a master only interest is pins and ribbons, MTG was forced to seem unblemished while something grew within. What seemed to start as an avaricious cancer was in reality transitioning and becoming the monster that had purchased its primal potential. MTG has been becoming the failing company of Hasbro. The beast that didn't care for the growing problems it left laggardly disassembled. That's the shittiest part of all this to me, the loss of the integrity that kept the game in a digestible. I wouldn't care if the proliferation was a positively natured nuisance, but the game just keeps getting harder to play, which makes it worse to me.

Is it fun and silly to lose to a snowbally commander? Or an infinite combo? Bring answers it is what magic is all about. Then less things seem as scary.
