Damn Rhyme would've been in a good spot if he could've summoned pre-errata Goyo. It was the most broken thing back in the day, it would've just ran over Brionac and taken it lol. Too bad master duel doesn't have a way to play cards before they were changed.

95% of what I know of yugioh I’ve learned from this channel. I’ve played a lot of card games over the decades, but yugioh I stopped playing by metal raiders. Master duel really fucking up I know they don’t wanna include goat format or Edison cause they think people won’t spend but man they could get eyes on the product and people that want more advanced play could play modern format

Making these modes means any player who doesn't feel like building anything after their most optimal deck will just spend money on this mode. There'd never be a thing to push those players to build anything else, no new deck to make them use an entirely new deck.

@Rhymestyle In these classic format battles, you should have the person going first toggle off and pass turn frame one and not play anything. This effectively means going second is going first. By doing this, turn 1 is turn 2, and everyone draws a card on their first turn to play cards. Toggling off also means the player passing does not give away anything in their hand.

Rhyme, if you want the full Edison experience why don’t you try out another sim like duelling book or YGOPro? It’s gonna be a lot more free form and you need to follow the rules instead of them being set out for you but you can do the draw on your first turn and such

As i recall, stratos ban was because of e tele DAD. Add destiny hero mali or diamond dude, discard with destiny draw, draw 2 fill the grave with darks maybe turn 1 a dark armed dragon.

Blackwing’s are the best should run boar of the spear because if you have the level 3 tuner you can summon blackwing armor master with his effect he doesn’t die from battle and when you attack it has a counter than when you activate armor master the attack of the monster goes to 0 and the effects are negative plus when you attack a monster with higher attack you take no battle damage

Edison easily. That being said, you dont have to restrict yourself to era appropriate decks. Just removing Link summoning and capping at like pre 2020 cards offers a lot of different styles while still being mostly balanced.

I like Edison. I didn't even think of it as different formats back then. It just felt like Yu-Gi-Oh! to me. I'm glad I got out around this time. I might have not minded XYZ but Pendulums would of really pissed me off. All of that searching and pulling cards directly from your deck and special summoning turned the game into solitaire to me.

@@frederickliebhaber3292 I disagree. Pendulums was when I first got back into Yu-Gi-Oh! My brother told me to try it out just to see how ridiculous it is now. It didn't feel like Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore at all. I think I could only stay playing it for a month or 2. They introduced Links and change up the whole game in an attempt to fix what Pendulums did. Links are ridiculous too, special summons just aren't special anymore. But I'm still having way more fun than when I tried Pendulums. There is just no way to fix the solataire like gameplay anymore. Spend forever on your turn or watching a turn. Duels last 3 turns at most but are somehow longer than ever.

Base performapals we’re arguably 1 of the worst decks yosenjus and qlis both used there pendulum summons almost less than their normal summons. Once we started getting farther in with majiscepters Dracoslayers and full power Pepe I can agree that shit took ages. But base links was 5 mins of firewall turbo. And agreed there’s no way of changing the current game state without a hard rotation banlist to take a lot of the saturated hand traps and spam and generic boss monsters out for a format.

I think playing Edison occasionally to shake things up would be nice. I like watching GOAT due to the nostalgia factor but Edison is more objectively more varied card wise and I would like to see things shaked up a bit.
