The barrel was used to drain aircraft, so majority of it was actual Jet Fuel. 2. WE DID THIS ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. Yes, it’s illegal to use untaxed fuel on the street. DON’T DO IT. We drained all of the jet fuel out prior to driving it on the street again. 1M views and we’ll do it again with ‘clear’ jet fuel and a completely empty tank. Let’s goooo!

you better make sure your diesel has a mechanical fuel pump, cause electronic pumps will clog up if you try to run anything other than diesel or jet fuel through them. Gas cars also have some options, in addition to gasoline. You can run ethanol, methanol, isopropyl alcohol, acetone, kerosene.... basically any kind of petrol or alcohol can be used in your typical flex fuel engine, as long as you blend them properly.

Jet fuel is basically highley refined kerosene, Kerosene essentially is highley refined on road diesel fuel. On road diesel fuel is essentially refined #2 heating oil/off road diesel. Heating oil and off road diesel are exactly the same thing. (In that order) 👌👍 I haul fuel for a living, ask me how I know! 😁 He is basically running the highest grade diesel fuel you can buy. (Super Clean) No impurities Diesel fuel is actually clear like kerosene, but they inject dyes at the fueling rack. (Where you load your fuel tanker) Bet you also didn't know 90% of all your fuels are pipelined up from the gulf. Then refined in your local citys and shipped out. You could have a 10ft pipe 30ft under your home and not evan know it. Theres been instances of people complaining about unknown vibrations under peoples homes. With further research they find out sometimes theres a major pipeline running under there home and that vibration is them pumping up millions of gallons. Interesting shit 😎

offroad is the same as on road its just not taxed and its dyed but it use to have more sulfur
@ethanlamoureux53065 жыл бұрын
Sounds cool, but wrong on almost every point. Jet fuel and kerosene are very similar, but jet fuel is consistently produced to a very specific standard. Diesel fuel is slightly heavier than kerosene and jet fuel, and contains more BTUs per gallon. Off-road diesel is the same thing as on-road diesel, with the addition of red dye to show that no fuel tax has been paid. Fuel oil is heavier than diesel fuel, with even more energy content. All of these fuels tho are similar enough to burn in a diesel engine, tho heavier fuel grades can cause problems in cold weather. Refining is done to separate petroleum products by weight and boiling point, and not to eliminate impurities. And it takes more than just refining to make various grades of fuel. Only 30 states have oil refineries. Most of these states have 5 or fewer refineries. Only 3 states have more than 5: California (16), Louisiana (17) and Texas (29). Twenty states have no refineries. These numbers prove that 90% of fuel cannot be refined in the same city where it is used. www.eia.gov/petroleum/refinerycapacity/table1.pdf I can find no information suggesting that petroleum pipelines are ever allowed to be covered with buildings or anything else. They have to be kept clear for aerial inspection. They are run thru easements which require that nothing be constructed within a certain distance of the pipeline, and typically they are buried about 3 feet deep, not 30. The Keystone pipeline system is one of the largest, and it is 30-36 inches in diameter and buried about 4 feet deep. Hauling fuel for a living doesn’t mean you know anything about oil refining and pipelines! But the amount of made-up garbage in your post makes me suspect you even made up the part about hauling fuel.

Heating Oil and Diesel today are the exact same thing, Only heating oil is red because its untaxed. You can in fact put heating oil into a diesel car or truck, Not legally. And you can run diesel in an oil fired heating system in a pinch. Kerosene too, In fact in some areas people with outdoor oil tanks get them filled with kerosene in the coldest months as it does not thicken like heating oil or diesel do. Additional fun fact, Some rockets use kerosene too. first stage of the Saturn V moon rocket did and both stages of the SpaceX Falcon 9 burn kerosene(with some help from Liquid Oxygen).
@davidellis2795 жыл бұрын
Rich Caldwell H. There is little difference between the fuels but Kerosene is a high quality jet fuel, I wouldn't like to be on an Jet Liner filled with diesel though, the diesel has a greater risk of freezing than Kerosene and would be a problem at high altitudes and low temperatures. Running a diesel on parrafin or Kerosene is not a good idea because of its low lubricity and would damage injection equipment if used long term on the latest high pressure direction injection engines. Red diesel or Gas oil as it is called is the same fuel as diesel but has a dye in it so it can be identified by the authorities because it's supposed to be only used in Plant and Farming vehicles, tax has not been levied on this fuel so it's illegal to use in road vehicles on UK roads. It's Not illegal to use a certain amount of old chip oil that has been diluted with diesel to thin it down a little but this type of fuel should only be used in early indirect Diesel engines. No doubt someone will say they've used it in modern high pressure diesels but their taking one hell of a chance with very expensive injectors and fuel pumps.

JetA is not good for injectors But standard jet fuel (furnace diesel) should be ok
@keithmiller43585 жыл бұрын
This is a bad idea. Jet fuel lacks the lubricity of diesel. It may damage your injector pump or injectors. Injector pumps are lubricated by the fuel. Jet A does not have any such additives. Jet fuel also does not have a high octane rating. High octane fuel is not desirable in a diesel at all. A high octane rating corresponds to high resistance to detonation. This is what you want in a carb or port injected spark ignition engine, where pre-ignition would be bad, but is exactly the opposite of what is desirable in a diesel, where fuel is directly injected into the cylinder at a given crank angle and you want it to burn fast. Diesel fuel cetane rating is the inverse of the octane scale, and corresponds to a propensity for pre-ignition.

@phtevenmolz50305 жыл бұрын
@@dalefourroux6402 lol no. Jet-A is much higher sulfur content than diesel (400+ppm vs 15ppm in ULSD). Diesel has a lot of lubricity additives in it besides sulfur and always has. Jet-A is dry in the sense that it doesn't have added lubricants, but it has anywhere from 26-53 times more sulfur than OTR diesel. Even with the extra sulfur, Jet-A weighs 6.6lbs per gallon while diesel sits at 6.9lbs per gallon. There's not a lubricity additive on the market that matches what pump diesel does for your engine. Besides all of that, Jet-A costs well over $4/gal and doesn't even have the road tax added in. You'd literally have to be retarded to go out of your way to get it.

jet fuel is a dry fuel meaning no lubrication additives added which is one of the big differences between jet fuel and diesel. another is the amount of water in the fuel itself. jet fuel has little to none (water icing up at high elevations likes to cause a flame out in the turbine) pump diesel almost always has water in it. other than that there's not much difference between them. helicopters have ran on pump diesel, but it is very risky due to the water bla bla bla and other things, plus faa / tc would not be happy if they caught wind. lucas sells a fuel lubricant additive for your vehicles fuel that can be added to every tank of jet fuel to ensure you dont run your fuel pumps dead (they lubricate with the diesel additves) you will see no longterm bad effects as long as your aware jet fuel doesnt have lubrication properties it really just sounds more cooler than it is
