I seriously LOVE seeing you excited for your accomplishments, even if you claim to not be the most competitive person out there. I have watched Olivia for years as well, and what I wouldn't give to have a lesson with her. Banks seemed to give bits of relaxation out of those exercises easily. I thought your communication with him was the reason that went as well as it did - you two sync up nicely and produced wonderful results! Beautiful work, beautiful pony, and beautiful people! 💜

Olivia is fabulous, more lessons with her fine tuning Banksy on the little important areas . Because Banksy is a clever forward moving boy he has skipped over these areas because he can . Honestly Tina get these areas sorted & Wow your dressage scores will be amazing for Eventing & will carry through in every discipline. Excellent work

Ahhhh, this was a really lovely vlog. I've always really loved Olivias' training methods anyway, but I find she really delves into the horses she's teaching and really tries her best to understand them as an individual as apposed to just another horse she's got in the arena that day and by the end of your lesson time you as the rider/owner feels like you understand your own horse that little bit better than when you first went in the arena with. She's definitely got the eye for talent, and she takes her time with each horse. I've got a lot of time for people who really want to understand the horses brain and its way of thinking but also to quickly pick up on the horses body language too and understand what is needed to make the horse progress comfortably and relaxed yet also switched on. She's fascinating to watch and listen, too. You rode really lovely, Tina, which you always do anyway, but as I said, Olivia definitely gets the best from the rider through to the horse, so you are working as an equal partnership. Really loved watching this. Would be great to watch you have more lessons with Olivia for sure and watch the dressage side progress 😉 xxxx

I strongly recommend turn on forehand and haunches, leg yields, and shoulder and haunches in exercises. Mom got the correlation with Pilates. Build strong muscles and important muscles control. Having ridden TBs most of my life I understand the reluctance to let him go. But occasionally I see him move out into a lovely bold forward trot. I think all of this suppling and bending will encourage him to pay attention to you. You won’t feel so overwhelmed and neither will he. I have a great feeling about Badders in 24! It’s Tina and Banksy’s year to shine!!

I didn't know how much I needed an Olivia Towers/Tina Wallace collab in my life lol. And what a fab lesson she gave you! Plenty to go away and think about (and play about with for that matter). Banksy kind of reminded me of the mare that I ride at the end of the vlog - generally snacking on grass en route to her turn out (she's also a patchy pony, albeit black and white - American Paint x Standard bred). That was a lovely lesson. You're already good with the two jump phases. If you concentrate on your flat work, your scores will improve. Because as you know, you can go clear in both jump phases and your final score is what you got in the dressage phase. If you improve your dressage score you'll be more competitive.
