My Owl used to Tank in Vanilla - my Hunter had a full Shammy set to pump the channel heal to the pet - Hyperborean (my owl) could live through practically anything. I spent a lot of time in Silithus farming that gear....

finally the pet heal hunter comes back from vanilla were so good times when i tanked in MC back in the day and still poeple say its Meme its not and with a proper raid who knows what they do the pet wouldnt have died

The turtle must have little defense and mitigation :D taking chunks of damage, crits and crushing blows, no wonder nobody wants to heal it through

back in the day in vanilla healers healed pets aswell nowadays they often cant see them in raidframes its sadge a healer that dosent know how important the pet is in such versions of wow where the hunter has only 1 pet is a bad healer

Someone has to explain the turtle tank to me. I understand how it doesn’t die but how can it hold agro, especially on AoE pulls?

It doesn't, it can only hold one enemy really easily, it has a guaranteed 3s taunt with 5s cooldown, and with spirit of the alpha (shaman ability)+ Intimidation it builds good threat.

@@Oneofthecomentsit might still be able to if you level an owl/bat/gorilla who can damage through AoE! Although would be best to bring a shaman friend who can put alpha on the pet then, but with that it should be smooth!

@@Oneofthecoments for aoe tanking with pet i would suggest a gorilla but its way harder than singletarget tanking but it can work if ppl have threatmeters or let your pet build aggro first and then attack

I really dont understand why nobody has the pride to actually do it without worldbuffs? I mean SoD raids are so ridiculously easy its a joke ... and yet people use worldbuffs like complete bozos.
