OUTRAGEOUS that the one-77 and the 8C got booted but a fucking fancy plastic Chevrolet made it 1. Enzo 1. Veyron 3. Zonda F 4. One-77 5. CCX 6. Carrera GT 7. Reventon 8. Ford gt 9. SLR 10. 8C Also I know it’s 2010 but I was kind of sad the LFA didn’t feature also I can’t decide if Enzo or veyron should be at 1 or 2

Also, if a front engine American car had to make the list, the Viper is more of a supercar than the Corvette, by a mile. Hideous gobs of downforce, an engine with enough torque to slow the rotation of the planet on a hard launch... it's so much better and cooler.

Work in the RAF from 07-13 When I was stationed at RAF Coingsby I asked a few lads what it was like when top gear filmed the Veyron vs the Typhoon episode. Their response was “it was all faked” The challenge was 1 mile up for the typhoon vs 1 mile down the runway for the veyron and both return. Apparently on the first run the typhoon was already back at the start finish line before the veyron had got the then end of the runway. It took 7 attempts to get the finish which was done by the typhoon going 2 miles up on half throttle and the had edited in the first runs start. From that day I couldn’t look at another episode of top gear the same again.

I must admit, and this is going to be hugely controversial. Once they started faking things on there I really struggled to watch it. I just couldn’t get on with it toward the end.
@simondale39807 күн бұрын
To be fair it was an entertainment show. The result was entertaining. It's not like it was consumer advice that was faked, no one is racing there Bugatti against a typhoon in real life. So I can give the show a pass for that.

Re starter tools: A handful of old towels (or roll of kitchen paper). Towels over the wings stop you scratching bodywork; they are great for stationing bolts & parts when you disassemble something, catch mess, clear up muck, when your shop floor is grey camouflage putting tools and parts on a light coloured towel makes them easier to find ... they are even mentioned in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy: "Don't panic and always carry a towel."

Regarding tools something my trade teacher told me was buy the cheapest good quality tools you can (I bought aldi and homebrand hardware store tools.) and as they brake replace them with more expensive higher quality tools (AKA name brand) then the tools you actually use will be good quality and the tools you barely use will be available when you need them but you wont have spent a fortune of them. If you own a car that needs specialist tools see if you can get them cheaper second hand.

Just a little story for you I experienced during the Podcast: So, as I got to the ranking cars section of the Podcast, my girlfriend walked into the room to see what I was listening to. Obviously, I told her it was the best podcast in the world, and then I was explaining to her that the Lamborghini Reventon was one of the best-looking cars from the early 00's. To put the following into context, she's not hugely into cars other than what I ramble to her about, so I show her a picture of one and she goes "that looks a lot like a concept car I saw, I think it was a Tesla"... As I am sure you would agree, this statement is confusing to say the least as A: Tesla don't really have normal concept cars, they just have cars that they reveal then never manufacture, and B: I cannot think of a SINGLE Tesla that looks remotely like a Reventon. Naturally, I say, "Tesla doesn't really have many concept cars, especially not like the Reventon. Is it quite a new model?" "Yeah, this year, I think." By this point, I have, unfortunately, put two and two together. Hands shaking with rage, I pull up Google images on my phone to search for what my beautiful girlfriend thinks looks like a Reventon... I show her the picture, and she goes, "Yeah! That's it. It looks basically the same, just a bit bigger." It was the Cybertruck. She thought a Lamborghini Reventon looked like a Cybertruck. I can not actually bring the right words together to explain how I feel about this, so I thought I would share it here. Cheers.

I paid quite a lot for it (£11,500), as it’s basically perfect condition, and was even dry stored in a BMW mini showroom for the last several years. What is your view on modifying a car like that?
