I believe Mel being touched by Kindred when Ambessa was pregnant in the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" cinematic means that she has a predetermined death (like Olaf from League of Legends). So, she can't die until the unknown scenario is made a reality. Since Kindred's Respite is a zone effect in the game, and in the cinematic, Jace probably survived by being in the zone around Mel, just like Mel survived the arrow in her mom's pregnant belly when her mom encountered the wolf. This is my headcanon for now, until next week at least.

League Viktor story was really really good, it's a bittersweet feeling between seeing his machine herald version go away but getting the new organic shimmery arcane version

there are alot of references to items in the game in the first 3 episodes its kind of funny. The chainsaw the lady used, the giant mech suits that give super speed, even the simple "pickaxe" the fishman picked up 🤣
