We are now back to van life in the USA and are moving back into our camper van with our two special kitties, Brady and Bailey, boondocking for the first time in Death Valley and the Alabama Hills. You were parked by one of the best RV’s on the planet. Lazy Daze, very rare now. (During the dust storm). The best guacamole is super simple. Hass Avocados, garlic salt, and FRESH roasted green chile. That’s it. Got that from Maria’s restaurant in Santa Fe.

Last time we camped in Death Valley was 30 years ago: tent camping. First it rained, then the wind blew at what felt like hurricane speeds, then, on the way out, it snowed! Been back for several day trips, but I don’t think we’ll ever tent camp there again!!! It’s all about the adventure!

Great to see Desert Snow back on the road along with Bailey and Brady! We call those spinning dirt attacks dust devils. The Prada Store in the dessert is by Valentine, Texas, near Marfa. Yikes rattlesnacks and sidewinders in the desert. Keep the kitties near you. Their reflexes are faster than snakes. They'll protect you. Such beauty! Seeing desert, the salt bed and snow capped mountains. Wow. Am I ready for summer? Yup but is summer ready for me?!?!?! 😂

Prada Marfa is in Marfa Texas. Amaragosa Opera House is in death Valley Junction, but that is outside of death Valley itself. I love Tuttle Creek. Last time I tried to camp in Alabama hills dispersed camping. There was absolutely nothing available. They’ve closed off a huge amount of hills.

They have a right to fresh air, to feel grass under their paws, the sunshine 🌞, to go to the toilet naturally, to play. All you care about is stuffing your face with food. Question: when y'all are out and about exploring, how do you keep the kitties cool? I have a cat and a dog and would love to do what y'all do one day. I am just trying to decide what would be better for my fur babies as far as temperature. I love you two and the kitties.

Thanks so much Carmen. Your support means a lot to us. When we are out and about, we will either keep the windows open or have the AC on and set to maintain a certain temperature. We also have several temperature readers that we can access remotely to keep tabs on the internal temperature inside our camper van. We never go to far away from the camper van on hot sunny days.

That looks like NIRVC in Las Vegas. That's where I bought our Solis Pocket and it was my home for four days while I got it kitted out last July. And we were just there three weeks ago to have some little warranty tweaks done. A bit of a drive from the SF Bay Area, but they're just the nicest people there and they don't screw you around with making you wait three months because they don't have a service appointment slot. I said I was having surgery. I'd come as soon as I could drive and he told me not to worry that I could just give him a heads up when we were on our way down and he'd fit us in. Can't,recommend them highly enough. Especially Kyle in service and Paul in sales.

If you can find one to work with Desert Storm, I suggest getting an air fryer. It's made a huge difference in our health, for the better.

So good to see you back with your kitties in tow!! I am thinking that if I would buy an adequatly nice sized RV and a heavy duty Truck for hauling it, I will do OK and will have less repair bills and down time. Whether you live in a home or an RV, you have to deal with all the good AND bad that comes with either. Nothing is easy and nothing is free!
