WE'RE GOING BACK TO LUZON, OUR FIST TIME IN BAGUIO CITY PHILIPPINES | ISLAND LIFE

Hello friends, in this video we will take you with us on our trip to one of the most famous city in North Luzon, Baguio City. This is our first time coming here and we are so excited.
Baguio City, nicknamed the "Summer Capital of the Philippines" and the City of Pines, is a mountain resort city located in the northern Luzon region of the Philippines. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Baguio enjoys cooler temperatures year-round compared to the rest of the country, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists seeking to escape the tropical heat. The city is geographically located within the province of Benguet. Ilocano is the primary local dialect spoken in Baguio City.I am an Ilocana so we will not have a problem communicating with the locals.

Is Darlene Ilocano? My wife is Ilocano from Northern Luzon. She is from the city of Apperi. We live in Canada, and for 43 years I drove long haul bus with Greyhound. Sometimes we would be driving into the sun, and I would turn the Air Con lower because I was overheating, and then at the end of the trip my passengers would tell me that they were freezing. I always asked them why they did not tell me before hours ago. I always feel bad when I freeze my passengers out. I see you are eating Jolly Bee food. Our city in Canada now has three Jolly Bee restaurants, and my wife is very happy.

You need to wear a mask when you travel .. too much dust and fumes , maybe the filter of the bus air conditioner is dirty and you are allergic to dust and fumes ! I have that problem when I go to the Phil ! 😢

Awww… it’s nice to see you guys visiting my homecity! ❤ I feel bad for your hubby getting a bit sick in the beginning…yes, the AC in the bus is literally blasting on your head so we always recommend travelers to please wear a beanie or a hoodie. You missed the Flower Festival but you can always go back next year. 😁 there’s a lot of great places to visit there…my favorite is Tam-awan village. Don’t forget to a least try to eat at Good Taste if the line is not long and I’m not sure if strawberries are in season but the strawberry farm is a good place to visit as well. Have fun!

When you travel, wear long pants and bring a heavier sweater so whe you are cold you can just put the sweater on. Furher more, the mask will help! Hope you still get to walk around and see Baguio.

I live in Baguio City (as a student) back in the early '80s. It's much different now, it's way colder then .. so many blooming flowers in the parks and the mountains are still with lots of pine trees and the like. Now, the mountains are not with trees anymore but instead, they are filled with so many houses and buildings.

Turuan mo si Boris Tagalog. I was home in Tarlac last year and went to Lady Manaog via bus. I was shivering, my niece didn’t warn me about the full blast air on. I was tempted to pull the curtain to keep me warm.Travel time is reduced thanks to the express highway.
