Darlene, you can get your hair thinned out to make it lighter. My daughter also has a very thick hair and that what she asks the hairdresser to do. She also has long hair like yours. The hairdresser uses thinning shears. I don’t blame Boris for not wanting you to cut your hair short. You have a BEAUTIFUL hair. You can use it to your advantage; be a hair model.👋
