3 Important Things: at the TOP? Family 'toitness'! At Number Two: 'If We Don't Have It, You Don't Need It' 🤣🤣 And finally? Numero Tres: IDAHO: Home of the Baked Potato! I recall crossing the state line, and seeing signage with that tater boast...and the weather was exactly like the conditions you're truckin' in here. That Po-Tay-To had a steaming pat of butter on top, and a think layer of snow. 🥔🥔🥔 And that bonus clip at the end? There's an old expression, Jax: 'The squeaky wheel gets the grease.' If you don't ask, you don't get. I've repeated this to my sons so often, they know it by rote! And know it works! ;)

I'm an old school truck driver of 34 years and it's great to see young drivers like your self that take care of their trucks. I did my maintenance and polishing, washing. A maintained truck will make money, and keep you trucking. Love your channel Jack. Safe travel back home, from one trucker to another.

It's crazy the almost of abuse that produce endures being making it to us.. I 100% agree that your rig, boat, car, bike, motorcycle whatever needs to have preventative maintenance done regularly to help avoid having issues when on the road.... most ppl don't do that at all. Sucks that you hurried up and waited to get unloaded.. been nice and friendly truck like of someone woulda let you know they were open or had a sign outside saying the hours of operation..

Awwwww - I really missed you, Jax! No notifications for Yr last 2 vidz (Google problem), so I'm jumpin' 4 joy! You're my fave YT channel ever - the absolute best of all YT! You're always positive, there's sweet trucks - espvly the Cab-over Pete, there's family (and you have an AWESOME, beautiful family!), there's incredible scenery I'll never see with my own eyes - including brilliant drone shots), there's truckin' from A - B, to C - D & anywhere else you're going, there's great music (you do brilliant edits, Jax.. but nothing contrived or OTT) - and it's always SO wholesome! Never a can or bottle of demon alcohol or foul language..and when we get to hear about Rooster & your Mum, or your beautiful wife & gorgeous kids - it's a total bonus!! It must be so good when you get home, Sweetheart - being in Church with your family on Sunday morning has to beat waiting up in a truckstop : ) But I LOVE your channel! Our first Cab-over was a K125 that we rebuilt (my husband was a brilliant diesel mechanic - and I made her all pretty, inside & out in our 'dark green with white livery'..She never saw the inside of a shop in all the years we owned her - & we started an earthmoving company from scratch..it was hard work keeping all the old machinery running, but we were printing dollar bills with them, and purchased newer and better as we went. I howled when we sold that K125.. I wasn't prepared for how attached I was to her.. And that was because I'd put so much of my own heart n very soul into her over the years. So yeah, they grow on a gal too! We didn't do long hauls as our business was local in cattle farming country (and we farmed cattle on out 1025-acre farm too - but that's small acres in Australia. But we even had Peacocks too!) I really enjoy seeing the similarities & differences in how you do things over there, even though we sold up & moved to a smaall oceanside village for an early retirement 8 years ago, as we weren't blessed with children to carry it on - & we received an unbelievable offer that we just couldn't refuse. Your channel always reminds me of the great life we carved out of nothing for ourselves with zero but skills & knowledge and a willingness to work hard, but we learned new ones every single day - out of necessity!Just as you do. I hope you're at home now getting to enjoy some time with your beautiful Hayley and gorgeous kids! God bless you and your Family, Jax. I always say a prayer for you all every video you post. XX 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 & 🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸!! I sincerely hope that it was raining at home like it was in Idaho! I've been praying for rain your way for months now - since I found your awesome channel!

My brother in law was a diesel mechanic before he started his trucking company. Is first truck was a day cab truck he bought from a junk yard took it home and parked it next to the garage. Through out that winter he went through that truck out there in the cold fixing it up. If I remember right he had it on the road that spring. He ran that truck as long as he could. His second truck was like one step up , it had a small sleeper he bought off of an old trucker who was retiring. He ran it a number of years till he bought the the big full size truck he's running now. There's plenty of room for him , my sister and their son to travel together. Plus this truck's big enough to pull those big over size loads on lowboys he's chasing after now. 🙂🙂

I’m retired fire service Engineer (called driver or operator in some parts). Maintenance is critical. Often asked why we clean the apparatus so much. It’s maintenance. We inspect every inch, every day, and what better way to see it all is to clean it all. Anyway, I appreciate truckers so much. So many miles and time away from home to supply this nation. A hard but essential profession. Thanks Jax for a great video.

At the IH Truck Dealer I worked for: To Re-power Trucks in Washington State, It started to get weird about 1990. While gearing up to Re-Power an Older S-2500 International HD Tandem Bucket equipped Electric Utility Service Truck. To Remove a MV 446 Gas to a New Generation DT466 NG with a P pump. Someone caught wind of it and got the Weirdos involved and stated it could only be a 1992 model Current Emissions year Engine to qualify for licensing. However we Re-powered a Bluebird for a large School district, from a Triple Nickel Cummins to a old Rebuilt DT466B with an old rotary pump in 1996. They Just didn't tell the Weirdos and no problemo. Those Days are Long since gone, but nice old Pete C/O. One of our Clients had 2 Red single screw just like it.

Driving School bus, in Pasco Washington, I was behind a hopper on the freeway and it was the worst smell I had ever smelled in my life! As I passed it you could see inside of it and it was a bunch of animal carcass parts and the kids about died! Haha. I actually ended up at the same fueling station and I asked the guy what he was doing with dead animal carcasses. He was taking them up to Spokane to a dog food plant.

I've been to Martinelli's in Watsonville. It's been at least 10 years though. If you think trucking is lonely... Try it with no wife or family to come home to. My ex got tired of being home alone, so she left, and who can blame her. Kids are grown and gone. It can get lonely. I don't think I could do it anymore if not for smartphones and digital technology. (And yes, California sucks! But it used to be the greatest place on earth. I grew up on the north coast)

Oh by the way love the beard because of Lev.19:27 & 21:5. I do believe I have hauled out of there before myself when pulling a reefer. Now your in my old stomping grounds out in Ca. You guys are talking about how I spent my life as well. No way would I ever license a truck in Ca. no way~!~ I would go to NV, or AZ if I lived in Ca. Now Sward and Cipponeri Trucking ere all doubles and a few milk hauling companies were too due to tight areas to get into the dairies out there as well. Lot of trucking companies had doubles and cabover I used to drive for Tomatoes, fruits and veggies and grains and peas. Hoppers and all kinds of almond growers used them as well. But it has been years that I hauled locally as well. If you get to Klein's Truck Stop (In Herndon before you get to Fresno going south bound on 99.) you have to order the chicken fried steak. Most owner operators do that I know of we always grease our trucks and trailers as well as adjust the brakes. never did like the self adjusting ones. Never trusted them. Paul Reed made me help build a truck and know how to do maintenance on it on the road and to fix it because he wasn't going to hire a mechanic on the road either or you didn't get home. You had to fix it to get home. Now if you want to complain about shippers and receivers drive a refrigerated trailer, now they will drive you nuts for sure. If you ever get a reefer unit never ever drive or haul a load for H&M bay out of MD. Those guys will kill ya with their dispatching. I used to do a lot of skip shooting on my radio and find out where my truck driver buddies were at on the road too. I used to haul potatoes need to try that with a potato truck and trailer. I was surprised to know that some hoppers have tanks inside them as well to haul fluid or gas maybe not sure. I used to haul rock and dirt in a hopper trailer for road making. Well I can guarantee you if you were in N.Y. they wouldn't unless you greased their palms with a little green if you know what I mean. Talking about loading after hours or unloading produce but sometimes it works out for free, if you treat them right.

Awesome trip there. I have a buddy who still driving at 78, has his own trucking company here a one man operation and drives a day cab 1999 upgrade from the 85 before. Just does spoting most times and odd trip out of town. I go on the truck with him the odd time. He's slowed down lot's now past few years and before could be on the truck for 12 hours or longer a day. It's alot of fun being on the truck even though your just in the City. I used to drive for a living with smaller vehicles doing Hot Shots and did lot's of highway driving for about 12 year's. Seen lot's of 🇨🇦 from Thunder Bay Ontario too Vancouver BC. Also did lot's of trips too Fargo and mostly Grand Forks ND back in 08 & 09. Was going too Grand Forks about everyday for about 5 months back in 08 from airport here too the airport there and took around 6 hours a round trip. Farthest south I went too was Souix Falls SD cause I had to go into southern Minnesota on a trip. Enjoy watching your trucking trips and seeing your Country.

I did 2 years of Furniture delivery's to shops and warehouses and i also did 3 years of general haulage with a curtain side trailer running dry goods-timber-animal foods and toilet tissue also did pulp paper and the big rolls for the printing works running at up to 44 tons all in. i ran from North Wales to all over the UK away 4 nights in the truck, i had to retire with heart problems so had to give up my licence so enjoy your vlogs.🚚🚚😊😊👏👏

It's great to see that ol heavy hauler motto of "too much is just about right" is still alive and well. I lived the late nights and big trucks life for 30 years and loved every bit of it. You don't need drugs to keep you awake if you have an extra 20 or 30 thousand lbs in the trailer 😉 👌 PS Just watched until the end and hopefully that really cool guy on night shift and let you go with an extra 500 bushel for traction to get over the hill. 😎
