Oh girl! I understand your pain completely! My husband and I have gone through two rounds of IUI, one round of IVF, three embryos transfers and all have failed. We are getting ready to do a 2nd round of IVF and the emotional toll it takes on you is a journey in itself. The only thing we can do is put our future family in God’s hands because it is all in His timing. Praying your journey is a success! Be blessed!

I’m a mama to a almost 6 month old babe through IVF. We went straight to IVF due to success rates compared to IUI. I share with anyone who is starting the process that just take it one step at a time. It is a ride. Also a fellow a believer and we chose to do small batch fertilizations to try and not have “leftovers”. We had 14 eggs to work with but did not fertilize them all. We also chose not to do PGT testing. Our dr totally respected our desire to do things our way based on beliefs. We had a lot go right but also we didn’t get it all the first try. Just know that so many people are cheering you on 💛

💞Mornin’ Rachel!💞 I’ve been following your journey for the past year. I was infertile for 20 years before having my second baby. I had my son at 17 and my daughter at 37… and then hubby and I had 3 more kids after that. In my experience, my most fertile time was in my 40’s. (I have a video about my journey posted on my channel if you’re interested.) All that to say, that I hear you, feel you, I’m rooting for you but most importantly, I’m praying for you!! Hugs my friend. 💗

Nobody deserves to be judged especially in your position, Rachel. Going to pray for your ttc journey. I am now on my 4th trimester which is caring for my baby and this morning I reflected on Ephesians 3:20 (which was my first time reading the bible again because of all the newborn baby madness) - “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,” then you posted this video, I just feel like I have to let you know. Keep praying girl, lots of love from the Philippines ❤

I see you quoted Ephesians 3:20, so I would assume you are a Christian. We agree that God can do extremely amazing and incredible things due to his power. But I would ask you how the IFV process is morally and ethically compatible with your Christian view?

I'm a Muslim woman struggling to conceive I totally agree with your views on ivf, embryos and whether or not to test We've had a failed iui and 3 medicated cycles - just decided to take a break this year Keep it to yourself because many people will just place their negative opinions on you - it can really weigh you down Know that God hears you, He sees you and He is always with you! He will guide your heart to that which is right - and with that you will come across many people who put you down .. be strong and all the best❤

Ah, Rachel. My heart aches for you and AJ. I’m praying earnestly for you as you embark on this new part of your TTC journey and I feel such a sense of the Lords presence when you are speaking about these details and bringing awareness. I admire the way you’ve confronted these excruciating questions while also trusting God. What a testimony! And what a beautiful picture of love for your future child, the fact that you’ve fought so hard for this. This child will feel so loved and desired! Much love to you & thank you for the path you’ve paved for other Christian women who struggle with this aswell - many will be able to consider IVF informed and without shame!

@BeckyCantu The book is written by someone who also went through infertility. The author goes into detail about all the different factors that could be influencing fertility. It really is eye opening. I changed so much in my life from the stuff I put on my skin, my diet, even the pots and pans that I use. I always had an irregular cycle anywhere from 30-109 days long. I now have a regular cycle and now I'm pregnant. I'm still I'm shock. After 2 years and IVF and hysteroscopies and egg retrieval and blood work and genetic testing I just can't believe I'm finally pregnant.

Yes I agree no one really understands infertility until they go through it. It is seriously one of the hardest things to go through. And it feels SOOOO long. Every single cycle feels like forever and it’s such a roller coaster. Hoping and wondering that this cycle will be the one. Analyzing all the symptoms. Tracking and doing everything right. Then to just be let down again. It was the worst my mental health ever was

Rachel and AJ, I am so sorry that this journey has been so painful and confusing so far. I’ve wept during your heartfelt videos and I hope soon to weep with joy from good news from you, too. I do not have children nor have I tried to conceive, but my heart breaks for some of the stigmas, trauma, judgement, and suffering at the hands of society that you have endured. I have autoimmune illnesses and can relate to the cruelness of those who would rather judge than walk beside you with grace. You are both so strong and so powerful both as a couple and as individuals. I may not share your faith, but I always encourage people to dwell and thrive in their spiritual convictions. I hope you find peace as you enter this next leg of the journey. Keep your chins pointed up to the sun and don’t give up.

I'm a Christian, specifically a Baptist, and I don't judge you at all. My husband and I tried for a year and 7 months, suffered a miscarriage, we were going to seek iui or ivf but his insurance doesn't cover any of that so we couldn't do that. We did get pregnant naturally 7 months after our miscarriage though. I think you have to do whatever you can and I know your baby will be apart of the kingdom of God and that is never a bad thing!! Me (27y) and my husband (32y) tried to conceive for 2 and a half years before finally having our first ever positive pregnancy test! We were ''diagnosed'' with unexplained infertility and had three inseminations before moving to IVF. I had 27 eggs retrieved, 22 mature, 16 fertilized with the traditional method and that cycle gave us our 5 untested 4AA embryos. I'm now lucky enough to be pregnant with our daughter, due on November 9, after our first embryo transfer. I understand your decision to go for IVF and I don't think it's necessary to wait any longer or try anything else. :)

Rach stay strong, positive and try to enjoy this journey, both the ups and downs, so that when you look back one day with your baby in your arms, you remember this challenging time with lots of love and gratitude. Don’t let anybody take that away from you!! ❤️❤️❤

Just came here to wish you luck with your IVF journey! It seems like you’re getting some negativity surrounding your decision, but keep doing what you’re doing. I think your perspective is so important here. I was raised catholic and understand the reasons Christians find IVF controversial. But I personally am in full support of your body, your choice and I believe this decision is between you and AJ and God and nobody else need to be involved here. So I wish you guys the best of luck with this new phase of the journey! You guys are gonna make great parents! (And can we just say how AMAZING it is to have fertility benefits?! It’s incredible that companies are starting to have them and that alone is reason enough to me to want to get going with this process) ❤

One of my best friends was an IVF baby, and she has a twin!! And then later her mom also naturally conceived another son as well. It’s not in your timing, but in Gods timing❤

It took 9 months to get my period back after birth control (10 years on it) . Never again will I take it. Not trying to get pregnant but if you are and in bc you might want to do it a year before

Honestly, I don't even think 17 months is too short of a time. You went through a whole lot of stress during this time and if it makes sense for your journey, it is best to go for the next phase. I wish you luck, Rachel. May God give you what's best for you.

You and AJ are so mature and strong and that is God working in you to prepare you for the decisions you have to make on this journey. You have the support of your family (it seems) so that's a bonus. Wishing you well. I understand eveything you've said.

I loved how eloquently you discussed this. What you said is so true: it's easy for someone to say "I would never do XYX" when you've never been in that position or had to make that decision before. I'm sure this choice has brought up a lot of new feelings for you, particularly as a young Christian woman who yearns for children of her own, and I just want to say how much I appreciate your transparency on here.

18:49 - the reason you are afraid of being judged on this topic is because essentially they are coming after your would-be child. That shows right there you are already a great Mom and will not stand for someone criticizing your children (even before they are conceived!). Good for you! Stand strong, and delete commenting if you need to protect your mental health :)

Praying for you Rachel. I know God’s hand is on your life. One thing people can remember is that NOBODY can ruin God’s plan. This was such a vulnerable thing for you to share. If you know what God told you that’s all that matters. We’re called to obey Him alone. Much love and God bless you💞
