I've followed y'all since day 1 of this entire project, and I'm just so impressed by the end result of this build. It's been an honor to accompany you throughout this massive journey of yours, and I do hope that other people see this as an inspiration to do what they dream of doing in their life.

@@Mike-. yes, it's only 48 V DC, BUT..that's not the problem. Have you ever seen copper bars spraying copper when an unintentional schortcut by some of the tools in the shed takes place?... I have. How many amps do you use when welding? How many amps will a fully loaded, parallel connected, batterypack like that give, without a fuse? Even when the batteries are with an internal fuse. It's wise to cover the bars with some acryllic glass, to protect them from unintentional shortcut.

I suggest that you put covers over the positive and negative bus bars. It's a 48-volt dc system. You need to protect against shorts and shocks. The main cables from the inverter to the DC bus need to be in conduit since in a 48-volt system. Look up the NEC code requirements. Just want you to be safe and have it done correctly,, if there is ever a problem and the insurance sees that it was not done correctly or inspected there could be trouble.

I've been admiring the high level of professionalism of your electrical installation, absolutely great. Also you showing us the details of the solar system is a source of inspiration for me - thank you! But I am a little worried about the two low voltage bars where the batteries are connected to. I assume the batteries have built in circuit breakers/limiters, because I can easily see a scenario where a metallic object falls/leans on them and short circuits the two copper bars. Even with breakers I still don't like it. There is a lot of energy between those two non insulated bars!
