I’m in the same boat as you both and work for another Mainline airline. I really appreciate your guys’ perspective and optimism❤️. Nina, you inspired me to create my own channel and it’s been so fun to document my FA journey so far. I’ve also accepted that whatever will be, will be. There have been many tears shed but this is our time to hustle, find new outlets, and better ourselves so that when we do come back, we are more versatile and stronger than ever. Try applying at hospitals because they do have non-clinical jobs that you could do like patient transport, Guest Relations, where you talk to patients about their stay (collecting data on how the hospital is doing),etc. Plus you get your health benefits back.

Emirates are currently flying to more than 80 destinations and are planning to add several more in the coming months. Looks like one of the most resilient airline. Worth looking into.

Go sell cars! I was a flight attendant. Through a series of events, I stopped flying. I needed a job and they will hire you in a second with your customer service experience. You don’t need to like or know anything about cars. You can jump right in. Females especially... you will be hired on the spot. You can get benefits and make very good money. :)

Denver airport is the nicest, but I would say do the 24 hours in Atlanta airport because it was the worst experience I've ever had. O'hare is the second.

Just curious as to how many years you both had with the company? My daughter was also furloughed at 6 years in. She missed the cutoff by 1 year and 1000 people.

NinaVida luckily she got married a year ago, and she did take a leave of absence until January (she was living in Korea at the time this all happen) she has a good attitude and knows she will eventually be flying again.

I knew this COVID19 is serious once they start from China around December 2019 . But in the U.S, nobody treat this seriously... now is affected the airline industry, but people who live in the US still think is a hoax or not serious or is a joke . I feel bad and sad for all the AA FA, I wish this difficult time can pass away ASAP . Wish you guys the best
