This is honestly just THE BEST. I've followed along for a long time now and it's been so great to see you go through so many seasons of life. I think it's become really hard not to compare our timelines to everyone else's time lines. The way society has made it feel so taboo to be 30 years old before starting a family is just sad. Growth whether it be through your career, your family, your education, is not linear across the population. We are all in different seasons and there's something really beautiful about that. It’s so crazy that I’ve been following you at the start of your channel while you were in medical school, you were a huge part of my inspiration on my own journey. Somewhere along the way my self doubt got the best of me & I got too nervous to pursue medicine, so I actually stopped watching your vids for a bit even though I’d see your thumbnail/titles come up in my sub box. You just reminded me too much of a dream I was too scared to pursue, nothing personal. But late last year I finally grew the courage to apply to medical school, and I start this Feb 2022! Sooooo beautiful. I was heading towards the same journey as you but wanted to get married and start a family asap so I put everything off. years of infertility treatment with a combo of Pcos (diagnosed later in life) and a husband who was in denial of it being him shattered my dream of being a mother one day. I first started watching your study with me videos since three years ago, then your med school vlogs, graduation, then onto you trying to survive intern year, getting through residency, being chief resident, when you felt like quitting medicine and considering other paths (pretty sure you would make a fantastic AirBnB host wink wink haha) during when the pandemic was very bad, then how you eventually found renewal in your calling. I become pregnant in the first month of trying at the same time I was preparing to be a professor in plastic surgery , now my baby is one month old and i become a professor in plastic surgery , it is not easy at all but noting is easy in life and having my baby is definitly the most beautiful thing happend to me !
