Fun Fact: The finale was originally going to be a 2 parter but the crew didn't really know where they wanted the second part of the episode to go, and they were running out of time before the deadline. They decided to make the first part the season finale, and Dan Harmon wrote an episode in one night as more of a filler episode. He said it was the most fun and stressful night of his life. The episode he wrote was the purge episode.

Something to do with the tonal differences between the two versions. One is an old man at the end of his life and the other is a young man at the start of his.

Ik you guys have watched most of, if not all of the show but just in case you were still wondering, I wanna clarify that the whole series follows the same Rick and Morty. Rick C137 comes back into his family’s life after Beth and her mother were abandoned by Rick when Beth was a child. He’s lived with them for a year as of the pilot episode. This is what makes it super crazy and suspicious that Rick is shown to have a memory of Morty as a toddler in season 1 episode 9 because Rick hadn’t met him yet.

"you want me to cut to three weeks earlier when you were still alive?!" is honestly one of my favorite morty lines of all time As a writer who just finsihed a book set entirely in flash backs as the MC trains for the next book it was hard to not fall into the usual trapings of the "X time earlier" framing device- in my case I used it to establsihed that one of the side protagonists was going to die but didn't make it clear which one it was until the moment of truth- however I was nice enough to mark one of the three potential victims as safe halfway through....

6:46 Yeah I'm in canada, and moose hunting licenses are very strict. You have to apply and then you are only allowed to hunt in a certain area. If you hit a moose with your car, or spot one on the side of the road, normally it is within city limits and thus you aren't allowed to hunt within city limits, and also if your car was damaged, there could be bits of glass in the moose, and I think i've spoken to hunters that have had "roadkill" and they say it's much tougher than one you hunt. The way I see it though, it's a dead animal that's just going to go to waste. It can't be saved, shag it.. get some meat from it to donate to the food bank for the poor, and ship the hide off to poor eskimos to survive the winter or whatever hahaha but I'm sure some good use could be made of the corpse that would otherwise just be incinerated. Utility lost in my opinion.

Ok, the whole deer thing. You can be fined and arrested for poaching if you are found in possession of an animal you don't have a license for. You report those animals with tags you pay for to the local Fish and Wildlife. There are sooo many rules about hunting and what you can hunt with, If you are certified to hunt with that weapon. A Game Warden can and will pull a gun on you if you violate some of those laws. They will even trap you with fake animatronic deer to fine you. Most butchers require you to have a tag on the animal with your name on it to process the meat or they will report you.

You do definitely have to report any deer killed while hunting in most states. In my state it’s a tag/ online survey and pictures. If you don’t do this there are heavy penalties.

So you do have to have a license/permit for each hunting season. Each season, you get a limited number of tags to mark the deer you harvest. If a game warden catches you harvesting deer without a license or having already used all tags, you can be fined or even arrested

Hunting laws vary from place to place, but they aren’t unenforceable. If you get caught with a deer you don’t have tags for you can be penalized. And while it’s pretty easy to get away with poaching, it’s also not as hard as people think to get caught.

They said that it's better for the algorithm rather than posting the binge as a standalone after the season is finished as an individual upload. So, rather than release the last few episodes, they release the binge instead. There is no delay in watching the reaction to the finale, and you can easily skip to it using timecodes. There's literally no loss here.

I only watched The Forever Purge, and the only reason was because the trailer showed Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as the villain. He must have seen the witing on the wall because his part, which was actually very small, was completely replaced by a different actor. We had to leave the theater during the climax because we were going to miss our ride home, and we didn't even care. It was that boring and terrible of a movie.
