I've listened to both versions and they to me are equally the same in how powerful their lyrics. This version with Lzzy Hale makes me tear up a bit. Lzzy learned to do some of the female version of throat singing for the song and I think she did a great job especially since she only had a couple months to learn something that usually takes years of practice to do.. she is an outstanding singer and her voices mixes so well with their sound

They said that the HU have demonstrated in this song especially a form of masculinity that respected and revered the feminine, and that somehow we in the West lost this. Thankfully, it looks like the Mongols have preserved this in their culture, and, through the Hu, are returning it to us. For that alone they deserve our thanks.
