I've listened to both versions and they to me are equally the same in how powerful their lyrics. This version with Lzzy Hale makes me tear up a bit. The video of the band members as children with their mothers really accentuates the song. You ladies are a delight to hear your input and watch. Please stay safe and God Bless.

Lzzy learned to do some of the female version of throat singing for the song and I think she did a great job especially since she only had a couple months to learn something that usually takes years of practice to do.. she is an outstanding singer and her voices mixes so well with their sound

From her Facebook post, she was free to write her own take. They did teach her how to throat sing even though she doesn’t do that in the song. She has stated she will keep practicing.

Shes had years of singing well already. For me its no stretch that she could pick it up quick. Evoir from farose island does some fantastic throat singing and has a wounderful voice and presence. The whole time she sings just is outstanding.

From this song, you probably understand how important a woman is in Mongolian nomadic culture. And we have a lot of stories and myths about queens and mothers. We had a lot of respect for women and high attention to their education. Because the Mongolian warrior did not know when he would go to war and how long he would live. Therefore, Mongolian warriors are mainly raised and educated by women. One of them is the great Genghis Khan. His father died when he was nine years old. From then on, the family was headed by his mother Houlun /Өүлүн эх/ who went through a difficult times, poverty and hunger. However, she never forgot to raise her son as a king. As an individual, Genghis khan grew up to be a very wise man who respected his mother and wife very much.

This song brings to my heart a sense of respect, love, and pride for my mother and woman. A song like a noble and proud woman. It's so beautiful and very hard to describe my sense in word.
@BrieyaSilverweb4 жыл бұрын
The combination of the two lyrics is very much as you find in a play or opera of where the men admire and sing how strong she is, with her affection and attention calms him, and more. Her lyrics are her declaration of what she offers and what she is a part of, which is how she is able to support and calm the man in her life. It is complementary and beautiful.

Love you two. And your kitty. I have a whole herd of recovering ferals here at Gary’s cat flophouse. Along with raccoons, occasional ‘possums, skunks in season, trolls, whatever. I’m in the back corner of an old ranch. Lzzy touches and looks at and just blends right in with the guys like a lover, mother, sister, daughter.

Lzzy Hale is a goddess, not really a woman. If you have never seen her live, she will bring anyone to their knees when you hear her. If music ever appreciated what a top notch talent could do on a guitar or set of drums, it should worship Lzzy. God she is amazing. And The Hu are just stunningly gorgeous in their own right. Put these things together?!?! Thank you for letting me live during these days!

Lyrics with translation: The palm tree grows and flowers As she sings softly my soul retains My wife, an honorable lady Compassionate and delicate I am bones and I am skin I am home, where life begins I’ve started wars, I’ve given peace Across the ocean, I carry the seed I’m your lover I’m your mother I’m your sister I’m your daughter When Kings fall to their knees They sing a woman’s song When birds scream in the trees They sing a woman’s song The sunrise in the east Sings a woman’s song Every heart that beats Sings a woman’s song I am fire I am water I am empress I am thunder I am flower I am wonder I’m the object Of your desire I am beauty I am grace I am faith... This verse is only in the original and not in this collab: The Argali (big horn sheep) springs and flies in the mountains Her fondness melts me languidly My wife, an honorable lady Compassionate and lovely The birds sing and tweet in the eternal blue sky They are happy and joyful in their souls I am faith My wife, an honorable lady Compassionate and mesmerizing When Kings fall to their knees They sing a woman’s song When birds scream in the trees They sing a woman’s song The sunrise in the east Sings a woman’s song Every heart that beats Sings a woman’s song This verse is only in the original and not in this collab: The palm tree grows and flowers As she sings softly my soul retains The Argali (big horn sheep) springs and flies in the mountains Her fondness melts me languidly The birds sing and tweet in the eternal blue sky They are happy and joyful in their souls Every heart beats a woman’s song Every heart beats a woman’s song Every heart beats a woman’s song Every heart beats a woman’s song This verse is only in the original and not in this collab: With the precious words of your forefathers With the milk blessed road (life journey) of your mother, the true path With the power of love for your homeland Have a fighter spirit in you, be steady As if you were a blade of a sword As if you were a point of an arrow ready to shoot, spring and fly, ride and rise

This version of the song was dropped for Mother's Day this year, which is why the pictures of the band's mothers were included. But I agree, it's more than just a love song to mothers. It's a love song to sisters, daughters, and women everywhere. EDIT: Lzzy's band Halestorm is a gigantic source for reaction material. She's been called the new Joan Jett, which is a bold claim, and I stand by it completely.

BAT--- great grandson of Genghis Khan conquered all of Russia and half of Europe. he was the only one of the grandchildren of Genghis Khan who conquered the lands of Europe. and he would have conquered all of Europe if he had not returned home to the golden horde. but he never got home ... died of injuries on the way on the banks of the Russian Volga river. he was only 47 years old. and they say that, unlike all the khans, he was the only one who led his troops himself and fought with them like an ordinary warrior. from birth his father trained him as a warrior and he grew up to be a professional assassin. Genghis Khan adored him very much. Bat--- was a favorite of Genghis Khan.

I would highly...HIGHLY...recommend diving down either the Halestorm rabbit hole, or even just the Lzzy Hale collaboration rabbit hole. Either one are worth the trip. Just to name a few artists that Lzzy has collaborated with. Lita Ford, David Draiman (From Disturbed), Myles Kennedy (from Alter Bridge), MGK, Shinedown, Amy Lee, Lindsey Stirling, and many more. Just put all those names up and throw a dart, you'll land on some great music.

I saw a comment on another channel reviewing this song. They said that the HU have demonstrated in this song especially a form of masculinity that respected and revered the feminine, and that somehow we in the West lost this. Thankfully, it looks like the Mongols have preserved this in their culture, and, through the Hu, are returning it to us. For that alone they deserve our thanks.
