I was hoping to hear you reasoning with data on why Dave’s financial advice is good or bad. This felt like just 10 minutes of trash talk. :/ I am a Puerto Rican male who grew up pretty damn poor. And it wasn’t until 24(when I heard of Dave) that my financial situation completely changed. I don’t agree with anything other than his financial advice(baby steps) but I don’t let that stop me from listening to what I think is great advice. Wish I heard counter arguments vs trashing the guy for everything outside his financial advice.

RIGHT!! Everyone believes their ideologies are the only correct way, but that’s why this a free country, he should be able to express himself just like everyone else (including these hosts)

Okay....so his personal beliefs aside- What is wrong with his *financial* advice? If I were to take his program, strip it of everything Bible-y...would it be then considered valid? I've gotten a lot of good advice/guidance from people who's personal or religious beliefs I do not share. I guess I'm curious if there's a more constructive criticism of his methods other than "We don't like white, hetero, Christian conservatives"?

So, I was really looking forward to this video. I love what you do and agree with it, and also despise Ramsey. However, I didn't learn anything from this video about why his book was actually bad. When you analyze it, could you address what his financial teaching flaws actually are. I know you are capable of phenomenal critiques. Please don't sell yourself short.

Here's my take on Dave Ramsey after listening to some of his shows. He basically informs people how to get out of debt, in the most simple of terms from credit cards to your fancy autos. A big problem with peoples finances is those people buy things they don't need, Kardashian bracelets ? I consider myself a bad consumer, because I don't purchase frivolous items, why ? Because I'm not taken in by all the commercials/ads that come across the tv. Big consumerism is telling you to buy the $75,000 truck, or the Kardashian bracelet, or the $400-$600 handbag/purse. This woman apparently has made it big in the financial sector, just like all the other self help gurus, now they are all cashing in on whomever is listening to them. It's not that hard to make/invest and accumulate a million dollars over one's lifetime if they work hard, save, invest, and don't purchase needless items ( because it's what your neighbors bought ).

I was hoping to hear some real critical thinking arguments against Dave Ramsey's teaching. Instead, this was all about how the both of you dont like the way he conducts business and how you disagree with his religion. Listening to this was like talking sh#t about co-workers when they are not present. Which to me is childish.

Tori -- Thank you for your content! It has helped me on my financial journey and I'm sure many, many others as well. I'm hoping this ongoing vendetta against Dave is more of a performance than reality. I (and clearly many others) find these attacks irresponsible and discrediting. You're free to disagree with his religion and politics, but he's helped so many people build something with their lives. I'm rooting for you and your following -- and hoping you commit to spreading actual kindness alongside your financial advice.

Disagreeing with someone because they are religious is too easy. Atheists already do that in their sleep. Please do a follow up podcast with some math teaching how his advice is bad. Perhaps, take some scenarios where you’d have a different recommendation. That is what teaches your followers. Peace!

She is just trying to sell her program, which is fine if it works. Ramsey does have a lot of life and financial experience. I've listened to a lot of his shows, and the basics are spot on. And it appears to be that this woman and Ramsey may have had a verbal scuffle, which is why she is lambasting him.

Systemic oppression?!!! My parents were immigrants not knowing any English and having no connections in the US and created a life that most Americans haven’t been able to do. To see the smugness on your faces tells me all I need to know about the logic behind your arguments.

Meh. I don't at all agree with his personal beliefs, but Dave's money strategy has helped me pay off tens of thousands of dollars in debt. I am 2 months away from being completely debt-free. I have learned a lot from callers' experiences on his show. Please make another video about this evaluating his actual plan - and maybe read the books and listen to a full 3-hour show, before making judgments?

When you say "men are always richer", you may want to look into the history of American finance and law, analyze the social, economic and cultural changes (especially over the last century) and reword your statement to "straight white men were immediately given rights to inherited wealth(his and his wife's), land and voting in order to push the economic system in their favor, making it almost impossible for women to gain any financial autonomy without risk to their health or well-being." Women were not allowed to vote until the 20's, were not allowed birth control (with restrictions) until the 60's and not allowed to open accounts(unescorted or co-signed by a male) or have credit or have rights to an equal education until the 70's. Men were not always richer because natural talent, they were richer because they had all the time, education and perks for centuries.

You lost me at Systemic Suppression, I don't agree with that rather I believe in financial freedom of choice. I will say the one thing that Ramsey supports, which I absolutely don't, is church charitable giving via investment division...just can't buy into that.
