+Will Flynn Thats true, they cant be replaced, thats why we do what we do for them. I once rescued a dog in freezing winter conditions, a young dog in somewhat distress because of the blizzard. I couldnt do much else than take off my own winter jacket, and I put it around him, got behind some cover, and he sat up against my legs for warmth. Called the number on his tag, and waited 45 minutes for the owner to get there, as darkness came and winds closed up on gale force. Just me holding around that dog wearing my jacket.. haha. Dogs are the best, so thats the least we do for our best friends :)

My dogs have gotten out, ran a few blocks and aCROSS A HIGHWAY to a park we like by. They ran around for a few hours presumably, then someone caught one and found the number on her tag, called us, and then left (bc she had a job and couldn't stay but wanted us to know where they were) and so we went to the park and looked for them for a bit, but when we got home there they were. They came back and sat on the doorstep and waited. All they wanted to do was play.

My husband and I both do that. I 've been rescuing dogs since I was a kid. My husband and I once saved a pointer mix just running around farmland. Took him to the human society, He had no collar. And a couple months ago, there was a tiny little dog running across the road my husband literally ran after the dog through a field and down a road trying to keep it safe, even stood in the road to try and stop cars from hitting the tiny dog. We never we able to catch that dog, he got away and lost site, but I literally waited for my husband for like 20-30mins as he tried to help the dog. We are big animal lovers and I would hate to see someones dog hit by a car or taken by someone with horrible intentions. I like to do my best to return dogs to their owners. And If I cannot find their owner I take them to the humane society who holds them until their owners call or they can check if they are microchipped. I have a dog of my own and she is my life, so I'd only want someone to do the same.

I've worked in rescue for about 10 years and I come across strays too often. On highways, dogs that have been dumped, abused dogs and everywhere in between. I always catch the dog, no matter what it takes and its above and beyond rewarding. It's so important to help the voiceless and helpless. Anyone who is reading this, please please please never be that person who says "Someone will help the dog." Or "They'll go home." Or "it will be fine." Because that is normally not the case. Dogs get attacked by other animals, hurt by people, stolen, abused, hit by cars, injured, used as bait dogs, ingest foreign objects or food and the list goes on and on. We have to protect the innocent creatures. I couldn't sleep at night knowing I didn't go above and beyond to save that animals life. We need more people like Jenna in this world that take action and have real compassion. Thank you Jenna.

I'm so proud of you guys rescuing those dogs. That's so sweet. That's what I live for. I just rehomed a sweet little bunny rabbit last night, who I found roaming the streets, I tried to find his family but no luck. He's with a loving family now. And a year ago I rescued a lost cat, found his family but they wanted to rehome him, he fit so perfectly in my home so I kept him and now he's the most precious thing in my entire world. I love him so much.

It honestly just makes me so happy to see you guys go out of your way to rescue that person's dogs. My dog has run away three times before, where he basically just got out of our fence or took off when we weren't looking and it's through the absolute kindness of strangers that we were able to get him back every time. Reminds me of when I had a run in with this lost dog. I was with my two other friends and me and my friends tried so hard to keep her from going into the road that people would speed on. She couldn't trust us so it took literally an hour to finally get her into my car. It was a rainy day too lol. I kept her for a week and found her owners they were this little old couple and they were so happy to get her back 😭😭😭 it warmed my heart to see the little reunion.

Reminds me of when my dog got loose for like four hours. He managed to cross all the way to the main road of my town and some kids got in contact with animal control thankfully I called before and they gave him some water and brought him home. You guys are awesome for taking care of those dogs :)
