I grew up in Northeast Pennsylvania. Very rural coal region. Drank heavily through my 20s and 30s. I’ve been in some bars/pubs that make this look like a 5 star establishment. I’d be a regular there.

One pub I didn’t get to when in Cemaes, but busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They even had an Irish folk band playing outside and seemed like great craic.

Go to the famous Eagle and Child pub in Oxford...this was frequented by Tolkien many moons ago...the toilets are disgusting...dirty toilets used to be the norm in the UK ...

Dunno why YT recommended your channel to me but years ago I worked up and down the coast of the North Wales Riviera and I have been to this pub. Fortunately I look like a rather large Hells Angel. And I drink Guinness. Although mainly cider these days as I now live in deepest darkest Dorset. Liked and subscribed immediately.

That toilet looks like the Ritz compared to a Chinese school toilet. First hand experience. The cleaners also aren’t 5 years old and they use soap and more than 1 mop for the whole property.

Guinness ice cold keg needs no skill to look after it , it's the same everywhere , there is more shit talked about Guinness than any other beer all that bollocks about "lacing" is utter crap. The pub itself seems fine unpretentious and perfectly friendly .

My vote goes to the Pompadour in Corringham Essex. Eventually it lost it's licence due to drug dealing. Thankfully it was demolished and a small block of flats built on the site.

on the surface seems fine to me, but i'm old school and like my pubs to be like pubs, not glorified wacky warehouses full of kids running riot with chavvy parents or smelling of greasy food. if i'm ever in the area i'd give it a spin for sure, i'll talk to anyone, even the Welsh !!

Looks a little dated but clean and well tended. My area has been infested by middle class newcomers from the south, who I can only presume made their money in middle/upper management, because they act like anchors. Cars now parked one in two spaces and snotty kids who have no manners. I have a fair bit of sympathy for this lady and wish my local was a bit more selective

Trip Advisor reviews are done normally by very negative sad people - that pub was alright and the land lady was alright - a quiet pub without sky sports and fruit machines where people have to entertain themselves by talking to each other.
