Nice choices for the test ride. I think both of you have nearly talked yourselves into arranging a longer loan, to exploit their potentials in more depth. That 765 is a lovely bike and I agree with Carol, the 1200 Tiger is tailor-made for you. Something to ponder over dinner methinks! Take care for now.

The price is high for the 1200, but these days this is the reality. Great video and a very nice day riding I suppose.

Carol should put the Triumph bar end mirrors on her bike, did on my 2012 Speedie and what a difference! Ebay purchase. Oh, my 2012 Speedie 1050 probably has same weight to HP ratio as the 765. Carol should get the 765, could tell she enjoyed the acceleration in her narrative. Richard, I am with ya, MT10 forever!

Good interesting video, I was considering a Tiger a few weeks ago but the Versys won the decision. I never test rode either of them. As we ride 2 up we thought the Versys is easier for my wife to get on and off with the panniers on. At least you know what to buy each other for Christmas now.

Did Carole not think the 765 RS was a lot more arse up head down than the 675? My mate said that's what he found. He didn't keep the 765 long and bought 900 Scrambler. Big lad, put a small screen on the tiger,, or take it off altogether. Helps a lot.
@Banditmanuk4 ай бұрын
The slightly more racy position didn't bother Carol. The firmer suspension did. As for screens for me. I would always go smaller or remove
@2wheelbikers3114 ай бұрын
Hi Richard and Carol. Great video as always. Carol needs a go on the Street Triple R; much more road focused with a slightly softer ride, a few mm lower than the RS, just as quick as the RS unless your thrashing it. I did test ride the RS before buying my R and the RS is definitely more track focused. Same quickshifter on the R. Talking of windscreens I've found that my Street Triple is better than anything I've ridden with a screen as there is no buffeting whatsoever as its just "clean air" that is hitting you, what did Carol think ?
@Banditmanuk4 ай бұрын
You're probably right on the R being more suitable. Problem is that Carol loves the Yellow of the RS. When she eventually changes it will probably be the R or RS. At the moment her old bike is running fine so she's keeping it a while longer
@michaellilley67254 ай бұрын
Well, Well, Well, about three years later Richard you actually got to try the Tiger 1200 you've had your eye on all this time. Also Carol seems to have found a bike she prefers to her old Street Triple. I hope Triumph give you both long term loans, it'd be great to get both of your opinions after a good spell riding the bikes.
@Banditmanuk4 ай бұрын
Yep finally got a go on one. Not long enough to form a proper opinion but yes we both liked the bikes and enjoyed the day. I've never approached manufacturers for press bikes but I'm tempted to with these Triumphs

Thanks for another great insight even though you both had short rides on them. What was the reason you couldn't film the rides? And if you are, what days are you attending the ABF?
@Banditmanuk4 ай бұрын
They said we couldn't film as previously 'incidents' during test rides had found their way onto KZbin before family members of the crashed person are informed. And their insurance cover prohibits use of cameras We're doing Prescott instead of ABR. Every other KZbin channel will be at ABR no doubt
@tojj294 ай бұрын
OOoooooooohhhhhh, suits you sir! Have to say, that Tiger does suit you and your size. And that KZbin view was fine I thought. Go on Carole, upgrade to that RS and get some knee down action on camera for us😁😁 Could you not have a QS added to your current Triumph ST? Think that's the first time I've heard you swear on camera Richard🤣🤣but what a stupid place to pass that other bike, he crossed the solid white line as Carol went round and only just got over by the time you got there. Good video again , enjoyed that. Oh, and did they say WHY no cameras on the ride?
@Banditmanuk4 ай бұрын
It does suit me 😀 Carol certainly loves the Yellow Street Triple. Trouble is the current bikes are still running fine. I don't swear much but that rider was b stupid overtaking on that corner as we were heading towards them! The no cameras was supposed to be part of their insurance cover but they also said they didn't want incidents uploading to KZbin. It probably allows them to occasionally open up the bikes being tested
@tojj294 ай бұрын

I agreewith the electronics. When I had the 1200 Tiger, the keyless and electronic fuel cap did bother me a bit tbh. I'd just rather have a key. I have the speed twin 1200 at the moment, and it's much more simple and less to go wrong. Although for Carol it's a quicker bike, how fast do you need in a world of cameras waiting to get you, and unmarked Police Motorcycles which is what we have had recently down here😢
