Great video! I just love watching the progress on the 401, and can't wait to see it fly. Concerning those windows, a great product for polishing plastic is Novus 1-2-3 plastic polish. #3 is a coarser polish, followed by #2 - a fine polish that shines like glass, and #1, which is essentially a cleaner to remove any residue. I use it to polish vintage turntable dust covers all the time, and it leaves a perfect finish. Keep up the good work and pay Joe more money. Whatever he is getting paid, it isn't enough. 😁

Planes are so expensive that it seems foolish to store them outside after seeing what weather can do to an aluminum plane.
@stevenspicer14 Жыл бұрын
Keeping an airplane outside isn’t inherently bad, if it’s taken care of. Canopy cover, flown regularly, washed regularly. This airplane wasn’t just outside, it was completely abandoned.
@tomatojizzz Жыл бұрын
so expensive that its not cost worthy for many to store in hanger. just like pets at the shelter people i bet often don't realize the scope of owning such a machine.
@stevenspicer14 Жыл бұрын
For a Piper Warrior, between my T-hangar, annual inspection cost and insurance, I spent about $500 per month in fixed costs, i.e. the cost to simply own the airplane. A lot of people make the mistake of buying as much plane as they can afford without thinking all of the costs through.
@shadmtmtn1603 Жыл бұрын
Not agreeing with the 3 first comments... it is foolish to own a plane and not use it, by definition, a plane should fly. Yes, costs and everything, as for any user of anything ! Your planes are costly because you think they are flying cars, but even used once a month, the parking lot needs its fees. Tell me, you complaining, 9000hrs in a year, how much of that does your plane fly ? 5 ? 10 ? You pay a very low cost for your useless toys. Rent it to cover static costs, and forget whinning your misery, when Mr Lambda can't even afford a 1h "air baptem" once a life !

As far as aircraft parts go, the prices for the windows are bargain-basement. I would be buying the two widscreens and front side windows at least.
