When I read about the Ottoman empire's history there was a confusion comes in my mind really who was the last Sultan of the Ottoman empire:- sultan Mehmed vahideddin VI,or Sultan Abdulmejid efendi II🤔🇹🇷?can anyone clear my doubt🇹🇷?

@@kishorek2272 after abdication of Mehmed 6, all the power was in the hand of Turkish National Assembly. This assembly elected a caliph( European version of pope) to the sate. So ottoman Sultanate(empire) ended with Mehmed 6 but Ottoman dynasty ended with efendi II.
