Wakfu is a french Cartoon and video game franchaise that is very popular and beloved. It is very anime influenced, with characters like Yugo, Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm, Sir Percedal of Sadlygrove (or Dally), Rubilax, Evangelyne, Ruel Stroud, Adamaï, etc. We at Spilling The Milk watched season 1, but there is also season 2, season 3 and the soon to come season 4! There is a wakfu time skip at some point but I am unsure how it goes.

The entire series as a whole is actually very well written! It was originally animated in Flash I believe, and the show is more enjoyable in French dub, the English dub is pretty subpar 🤷 But all in all its a very great show! And very unique in its world building, it all feels natural in how its introduced and really has a fun way of showing how everything works :D

Ow damn, this is definitely a show that lacks in the first couple of episodes. Almost all of the first half of S1 is just "adventure show in a fantasy world for little kids and cheap jokes" but once you survive it you will be rewarded with an actually good show that only gets better and better. It never really stops being a show for kids but you can see that at some point they stop treating the audience as just a bunch of stupid little kids but as kids that deserve respect and an actual show with a plot.
