I've always been interested in Hong Kong Disneyland. The location, the unique rides and it doesn't seem to have been destroyed by Genie Plus and all that nonsense. Some day I will visit but for now thanks for sharing 😊

Glad you picked up on the wifi issue. Much better wifi service at the Explorers Lodge and Hollywood hotels. I think from speaking to a cast member that they are aware of the issue, but might be waiting for when this hotel has a refurbishment in the not so distant future to improve the service. The shop does sell soft drinks in cans like Coca-Cola and you walk past the fridge in the video. The hotel does however need a counter service restaurant with more grab and go items like Chart Room Cafe which is located at Disney's Explorers Lodge Hotel. Enchanted Gardens is expensive but the best character interactions I've ever encountered have been at this restaurant. Plus the food is good quality. Ink and Paint at the Hollywood hotel however provides a cheaper price with in my opinion a better buffet. Plus you get to meet a character here too.. Mickey, Donald and Goofy alternate the tai chi lessons and pose for photos afterwards which I feel adds to the value of the stay. Characters also come out at all 3 hotels around 3.30 pm each afternoon. Which like Disneyland Paris hotels I feel adds a nice magical touch to your visit. Glad you had a great stay at this hotel. The hotel does provide the luxury of staying at the Grand Floridian without the costs involved.

I was wondering if you could please (if possible) do travel guides for UK parks such as AT or Thorpe Park. Such as when is the best time to visit, which rides to go on first/last, best places to stay on/off site, most efficient travel to there, etc. Thanks!

The Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is absolutely fantastic, love that design. 😃❤️💙👍🏻👍🏻🏨 I can see some of the similarities that the hotel took inspiration from, especially the Grand Floridian Resort (Walt Disney World) and the Disneyland Hotel (Disneyland Paris).

The average price of a wedding at Disney is from $7500 to $100,000 but most people are spending around $30,000. The honeymoon suite is close to $2000 a night. The average grand Floridian hotel room is $800 for no view and $900 for a view of the garden. The rest of the hotels are floating around $750 a night. No sane person would pay that. I paid around $350 for a standard double queen at the boardwalk and that was a long time ago. Rates have just go up crazily.

Shaun thanks for the nostalgia. We stayed in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel in April/May 2018. We stayed on the Disney Explorers floor costed £20 a day per person. Was worth it free drinks and food all day 7am-10pm. Plmus free kids activities and extra meet-n-greets. We also had characters put us to bed and wake us up. As well as ride passes every day. Shaun you also forgot to say that any shopping you buy in the park they will deliver to your hotel.

Chinatown in new York you see people doing tai chi in the morning or doing exercise. It’s always the older generation that do this. Honestly it’s what they do and just look the other way as it’s not bugging anyone.

I find elegance too stifling honestly. It’s nice but it’s that feeling of being closed off you know. I like the cabin look of animal kingdom lodge which portrays cozy yet spacious but kinda in the middle of nowhere. I just find what Europeans think is elegant too meh you know just it’s there but very old school you know. I have this thing of if it’s too modern then it’s a no. Just find a happy medium somewhere you know.

Inspiration lake is named that to help foster some sort of inspiration within the Chinese people. Chinese innovation has been really lacking in recent years. A lot of the younger generation are leaving China again because the opportunities just aren’t there. They are going to the states and Britain to find what they are good at. The Chinese are going to California, New York, and Florida as these places are growing rapidly and with the best tech scenes imaginable. I am seeing massive growth of the Chinese population lately especially in Orlando. These aren’t the older generation of the 60s or 70s, these are kids fresh out of high school or college who have left home for the first time. They are well educated and ready to actually work. They have been really changing the landscape of Chinatown as older restaurants and stores leave, new ideas are coming in. It’s quite strange to see new vs old sometimes.

I should stop watching these videos. It's getting me more and more excited for our trip to Hong Kong on October. And it's just funny how it's soo coincidental that you were talking about the hotel smell, when just a few hours ago I've seen a video of a shop in Hong Kong who specializes in duplicating the scent of high-end hotels and I was like, who notices that?! I guess hotel afficionados would. It's my first time seeing a video of people talking about and I haven't stayed in many good hotels due to the budget so maybe that's why. Sorry for me yapping, I just really find the coincidence fascinating LOL

Wow. That hotel is very adult high income class associated isn't it. Very very not children friendly. Didn't hear any children's laughter or anything really children orientated in theming. Very beautiful but... dunno.
