The floor numbering - at least for Germany - works that way because the numbered floors are always "upper floors", "Obergeschoss", so it'll be "1st upper floor", "2nd upper floor" and so on. The "ground floor" is either called exactly that, "Erdgeschoss", or it's called "floor 0", as you pointed out.

I think that is what sets Provost Park Pass in a league all it's own. The 'free' breakfast was mind-blowing!! Wow wow wow, so many fresh healthy options. Here in the US most Americans just want processed junk. Shame we don't have more like that here. It reminded me a bit of the hotel food at the place you stayed at last year at Paris Disneyland. How much are the rooms there?? Must've been wicked expensive. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

It starts at 232€/night for the standard room and goes up to over 1.000€/night for the penthouse suite. The presidential suite should be about 550€/night for 2 adults. Breakfast is always included.

As a European I‘m always shocked when I’m in the US and see the food (and the prizes). Especially in combination with the claim of superiority one can hear very often. I mean, its so f****ing expensive to live a healthy lifestyle.. In Europe food is regulated. All chemicals are per default forbidden, unless it‘s scientifically proven they are harmless. Only then they can be used by the food industry. In America it‘s the opposite. They have to prove a chemical to be harmful to stop the use of it. A good example to see the difference is to check out the ingredients for fries at McDonalds in the US and in e.g. Germany :D

The Krønasår is my absolute favourite hotel there and we residents are quite often in the whole resort area to go get a drink or even to go out with friends! Happy Annicersary! Hope you enjoyed your stay at Europa Park. Big tip: Definitely Check out Phantasialand, if there is any possibility to squeeze that in. Its the biggest private theme park in Germany. The parks size is rather small, cause they can’t expand in size. But they mastered building compact. They reinvent themselves regularly and they break record after record. They can easily hold up to Disneyland or Europapark, if you ask me, and they have some of the best coasters in Europe, some records they hold even are world records. The hotels are also very cool, each hotel has a different theme and they all come with their own benefits. Definitely recommend!!!!

Canada has a similar floor numbering system with the first floor being above the main floor. Though floor zero usually has a letter designation M for main floor, G for ground floor, or L for lobby
