While the outgoing Ranger Raptor was not available in the United States, it was available in Mexico. It’s good that you’ll be getting the next generation Ranger Raptor. The next gen Ranger Raptor is already available in Mexico; they now have a full Raptor lineup with the Ranger Raptor, Bronco Raptor and F-150 Raptor (called the Lobo Raptor in MX).

Yes, we do still have the 2022 Ranger Raptor (like the one in this video) in sale here in Mexico, along with the newest 2023 model. They are just going to keep it selling until they finish their stock of that old one. The brand new Ranger Raptor that just came out in Australia looks very different to this one, which is the old model. The old one had a 2.0 bi-turbo diesel. The new one has a 3.0 twin turbo petrol V6. I think it is the same engine used in the Bronco Raptor.

According to the designer of the GM 2.7 turbo which is in the Canyon..... he says the 2.7 is basically a gasoline powered diesel because of the durability and power you get in a 4 banger that has 310 hp and 430 ft lbs of torque. Also the Canyon is a nice looking truck IMHO.

@@rondail5675 It depends where you are. I am guessing you are in North America in which case good luck. In Australia all Ranger variants including the Raptor were released last year but if were to order one today I would wait about a year give or take. The North American market was very late to the Ranger party it was old by the time Ford bothered to launch it there. I think your market will be the last to get it once again. I don't know if you will get Raptor this time around but you would think Ford would want something to compete with Colorado ZR2. If this has depressed you and you need a laugh go to the Ford Australia website and look at the F150 section. This should make you feel better about the US market. 😊 The sad fact is that the purchase of any new vehicle is unrealistic right now especially a brand-new model.

This Ranger Raptor shares the 2L diesel with the regular Ranger. Bigger tires makes the Raptor slower than any regular Ranger because the Raptor axle has no shorter ring/pinion ratio. The Raptor feels slower as well.
@oni-one574 Жыл бұрын
Actual 'getting places speed' is about consistency though. Not needing to slow down for anything in the road, whether that be speed bumps, ruts, pot holes, people... goes a long way. The speed differences in any truck is negligible as they are all slow. Even the Ford Raptor R is slow at 4.6 0-60/-100kph.

What Ford SHOULD BE DOING is making a Super-Hybrid (100 km or 60 Mile range) Plug-in EV Hybrid Ranger Raptor and a Maverick Raptor, each with larger 50 gallon fuel tanks to allow LONG-RANGE boondocking/overlanding AND still have that EV Hybrid engine for stop-n-go city-driving for those tradespeople and contractors who want a more MUSCULAR truck for work AND play! The smaller trucks would work in the City better AND still be super-capable 4x4 off-road! I am quite sure they will NOT cannibalize F150 sales as there is DEFINITELY a segmented market in North America that is largely Rural vs Urban and Coastal vs Interior where big trucks tend to be used in the Midwest/South and Plains while the coast prefers mid-sized/smaller trucks in urban environments. The Chevy Colorado ZR2 is actually doing VERY WELL order-wise so Ford had better get something out to the market NOW because Chevy and GMC have VERY VERY GOOD mid-size products that are STARTING to eat into the larger trucks market on both sides of the North American Coast! V

Last gen Raptor looks good but old technology and painstakingly slow with the 2.0 liter diesel, the latest Gen however is a different story. 3,0 petrol with twin turbo looks and drives amazing sadly only with 292 HP in Europe, but with 397HP in Australia and Asia

This guy is pretty good! You can tell he knows the guys online personalities well!! (Remember Tommy,,,, red tow hooks!!) 😂. He explained things in mostly layman terms so he is easy to understand and he has a unique style. This vehicle, mind you, was a little pointless, other than we won’t get it here in North America. Even if we get the Raptor, we won’t get the 2.0 Turbo Diesel,,,, or any diesel for that matter. It doesn’t matter to me that there’s no diesel, the EcoBoosts are great at generating low end torque and a more suitable for the North American market as they sit. Big HP seems the thing here,,,, gobs of excessive power regardless of what’s needed,,,, 😂😂😂. It IS fun seeing the difference that exists between the European market vs here. The Ranger is HUGE there (size wise) and no so huge here haha. Full size trucks are rare in Europe as we know them here. Here, in many Provinces and States down south, a full size truck is the PRIMARY vehicle!!! The difference wide open spaces create,,,,,,,,,,,.

Saw the Ranger Raptor test mule cammoed-model in Whistler/Blackcomb, Canada last year while out with some friends (i.e. late 2022) and it was FAAAAAAAAST! An employee was in an early morning empty hotel parking lot and gunned it and it was probably the FASTEST 0-to-300 feet worth of acceleration i have ever seen in ANY type of mid-sized truck! it had a very wide stance and it was obvious about what SOUNDS LIKE a turbo V6 but was SEEN to have supercharger-like initial acceleration! Whatever is coming to North America is definitely FAAAAAAAAAAAST from 0-to-300 feet (0-to-100 metres) acceleration! And it is quite a bit wider in stance than the normal Ranger and can definitely take wide 35's and even 37 inch tires with a bit of work! While it doesn't look outlandishly different than the normal Ranger you can DEFINITELY TELL it is more aerodynamic at the front -- Seems like it has more of a Sloped Nose than normal! Very aggressive and MUSCULAR looking though! Did I also say it was FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST in acceleration from 0-to-300 feet ??? !!!!!! V

What i can DEFINITELY TELL YOU just how FAAAAAAAAAAAAAST from basically ZERO MPH up to 300 feet (i.e. the size of the empty parking lot we saw it in!) that the cammoed Ranger Raptor test mule actually was! I also suddenly remember that it also BRAKED EXTREMELY WELL and probably stopped within 40 to 60 feet to just before the exit way which is UTTERLY PHENOMENAL braking power! It was DEFINITELY FASTER than ANY OTHER medium-sized truck I have ever seen! The nose also looked quite a bit more slopped/more aggressive than the normal Ranger and was wider. I'm waiting eagerly for it! I'm getting an F150 Lightning for work and a daily driver BUT I also need a 4x4 Offroad Weekend Warrior vehicle and a Raptor would definitely fit the bill since it also has a decent size truck bed and will be able to carry probably around 1500 lbs and tow probably around 5000+ lbs which ALSO works very well for me! As far as the next generation Ranger Raptor goes, I think it was probably a mistake to put that off. Sure, a lot of that production is going to the more popular Bronco, so that’s smart, but the Maverick will eat into sales too, and people who can’t wait another year are probably going to buy the new Colorado instead. I know I’m leaning that way and I come from a die hard Ford family.
